1 / 2Anglesey Sea Zoo and Marine Resource Centre
📍 Brynsiencyn, Merseyside
Over 40 tanks of British native marine wildlife including seahorses, octopus, lobsters, conger eels, and jellyfish, plus a mini golf course, outdoor play area, educational talks, and an active seahorse breeding programme.
We visited the sea zoo this weekend and it was great. It is British native species, and has a lot of information and displays relating to our coastline. There were some really great specimens to see like Turbot, Mullet, baby Thornbacks, unique micro species and some absolutely huge bass and lobsters. Quite small, but absolutely packed with interest. We spoke to one of the staff about the baby rays and he was great, thanks for a lovely couple of hours out, even got to see a lobster eating his breakfast. Loads of parking, reasonable entry fee and great level of care for the resident fishes 🙏
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 10 who will engage with the hands-on scale and the mini golf alongside the tanks. Older children may find the footprint small for the entry cost. Staff knowledge is a genuine highlight — the conservation talks hold attention well beyond a standard aquarium visit.

“This was a great day out. Fun for kids on site with the zoo and also mini golf. It was nice to sit and listen to the staff's knowledge of the area and the wildlife.. preservation is key to the work that they do here. All of the marine life were amazing to see, especially I must say the baby skates. Great for families and adults. Easy to get to Food and gift shop on site.”

“Not a bad little sea life centre with good viewing areas. But it was slightly over charged for the size! Would say it would be better for a younger family as there is a play area and mine golf outside that my older children wasn't interested in.”
