Inflatable water obstacle course on Rutland Water featuring the 5.5m Rutland Mammoth — the UK's tallest water obstacle — plus giant slides, blast bags, flip stations, and diving towers. Requires 25m swim ability and minimum height 1.20m.
Great place for a family day out. Brilliant for either a picnic or eating at the on site cafes. A beach area & gift shop were about a fifteen minute walk further round the reservoir.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with confident swimmers aged 6 and up who want an active, high-energy outdoor water day. The reservoir setting is scenic and the obstacle variety sustains energy across a full session. Bring a packed picnic — the picnic areas are well-suited for post-session recovery.

“We had the best time ever at Aqua Park Rutland! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, exciting, and absolutely worth. The location itself is stunning set right on the edge of Rutland Water, surrounded by greenery and open sky. It’s such a beautiful spot for a summer day out, whether you’re participating or just watching.”

“Lovely and tranquil. One thing not enough sign post to guide people where to go on bikes. Spent 10 mins try to find our way round on our bikes, and which routes to take for safety. Better to walk and take your time and enjoy a pick nick.”

Overview
Aqua Park Rutland anchors its course on the edge of Rutland Water reservoir with open countryside views. The Rutland Mammoth stands 5.5m and is the tallest single water obstacle in the UK. Sessions must be pre-booked online with mandatory safety waivers completed in advance. Lifeguards patrol throughout. Clean changing rooms and toilets are on site. Kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and reservoir cruises run separately from the Whitwell centre nearby, making a combined water-activities day feasible.
