1 / 2Auchingarrich Wildlife Park
π Crieff, Central Scotland
Wildlife park near Crieff with 40+ species including wallabies, meerkats, and kookaburras across themed zones. Indoor soft play barn, outdoor adventure areas, tractor circuit, animal handling, and a hatchery make it a full-day destination.
We visited yesterday as a family of four β with our 8-year-old and 5-year-old β and had the most amazing day. The park itself is absolutely beautiful; the scenery alone is worth the entrance fee, with stunning views of the nearby mountains that take your breath away. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention goes into every detail. The toilets were spotless and smelled fresh, and every single member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. At first glance, the park doesnβt look that big, but donβt be fooled β itβs huge! Thereβs so much to see and do, and the variety of animals on display is incredible. Itβs easily the best animal park and petting zoo weβve ever visited. The cafΓ© was another highlight β plenty of delicious, high-quality food and drinks to choose from, all enjoyed with amazing views across the valley. The staff even surprised our kids with two free cupcakes, which absolutely made their day! All in all, it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. We canβt recommend this place highly enough β a perfect day out for families!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of all ages seeking varied animal encounters and play. The indoor soft play barn makes it genuinely all-weather β a rare feature for Scottish wildlife parks. Families with children under five get strong value: the 2-year-old birthday visits and toddler-friendly paths draw consistent five-star reviews.

βThis was our first visit here. We came here today for our Little girls 2nd birthday, traveled from Fife, it is well sign posted & good car parking facilities. Toilets & baby change area were spotless. Now it is February & it is Scotland so it was raining but this did not stop us having a fantastic day, the lady at reception was brilliant, gave us lots of knowledge about the park, the animals and what was on that day, and the events the park holds. There are lots of places to wash your hands which was great , the route was accessible with a pram. Our little girlβs favourite animals were the Emu & Lemurs, we also seen the newly born lambs. Great indoor barn soft play and plenty out door activityβs around. For any body in the knitting hobby they are looking for people to come and knit cosy jumpers for the baby lambs and have newly started this club. For anyone wanting to come in February if you bring a shoebox filled with some veg for the animals you are getting a discount on admission , they had also done β pay what you please Januaryβ. Thanks for a great experience todayβ

βGreat day for the Family with interactive animal Experiences. Good Coffee, food and service at the cafe. Location is spectacular. I was sitting at the cafe over looking the rolling hills enjoying a latte as my children played at the many kids play parks (indoor and outside) below me!β

βHad a great experience at the wildlife park. The moment we arrived we were greeted by Benny, a cuddle-lover sheep dog, in the well stocked souvenir shop. The warm food in the cafΓ© was delicious and the views were gorgeous (choose between a view over hills or a pen of guinea pigs). Toilets were clean. Outdoor temperatures were freezing, so didn't see that many animals but we managed to feed ostriches, a peacock, sheep, goats, ducks, geese.β
