Wow. What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. Sheila the owner is lovely and knows her stuff. The horses are in lovely condition and very well behaved. We went out for a two hour hack through the most beautiful countryside. Bex who was our guide was great, really friendly and we had a good laugh. Had a few trots and canters. Going to go back for a day ride next year. Loved it 💚

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged five and above who want to try horse riding together in a genuinely scenic setting, particularly those with no prior experience. Sheila and her team are consistently described as reassuring with nervous first-timers, including adults.

Me and my partner went on a 90 minute trek for my birthday and had a lovely time. I hadn’t ridden in a long time and my partner never had, Sheila was very accommodating and even let us have a trot. The route was perfect, lovely balance of woodland and open areas with a lovely view. The horses were lovely too, my horse Domino was so sweet. Would definitely come back!

We did a mini trek with our 4 children none of who had ridden before. We all had the best time. Shelia and her team were fantastic, made us all feel so comfortable. It's such a stunning area to ride around and the horses were amazing. Definitely recommend.

We had a great day at Boltby Trekking despite the rain! The views were incredible and everyone who works there are lovely. I also think the price is great, and the horses were excellent to ride. We will definitely be returning!
