1 / 3Bradford Ice Arena
π Bradford, North West
Public ice arena in Bradford with family and disco sessions, learn-to-skate programmes for all ages, ice hockey lessons, and birthday party packages with buffet options. Cafe, skate shop, and multiple skating clubs on site. No online pre-booking.
Staff were really friendly and nice. The actual ice was also well maintained and there weren't too many people. Price was really good and affordable, especially if you're a student. You do need to pay for parking which is around Β£2 so not too bad. The only downside were the skates. You can tell they are really worn out have no padding left whatsoever as me and my friends were all in pain which meant we couldn't skate properly and had to leave early. They ended up ripping the skin off my foot which hurts a lot. My friends also got scabs from them as we could feel the boots digging into our foot the whole time. Apart from the state of the skates, everything else was really nice. It would be nice is they could buy new skates as I'm sure they must be over a decade old.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who prioritise affordable ice skating over modern facilities and are flexible on arrival time. The ice quality is reliable and the pricing accessible. Rental skates are in poor condition β bringing your own makes a significant difference.

βA bit worn out I'm afraid Took friends who were visiting over Christmas holidays so Saturday visit in school holidays was busy. Big queue so recommend getting to session early. No pre booking system available. Queue up staircase once we got to booking area one girl taking card payment and one taking cash payments so Id recommend taking cash as you get served quicker. After payment queue you get into another queue for skates then you can finally get into arena which is loud the speakers are up full so for spectators you can't really chat. Spectators pay Β£2. Toilets are available again just a bit worn out. Foid and drink available in cafe I only had a cup of coffee. There's also a vending coffee machine.β
