Staff were really friendly and nice. The actual ice was also well maintained and there weren't too many people. Price was really good and affordable, especially if you're a student. You do need to pay for parking which is around Β£2 so not too bad. The only downside were the skates. You can tell they are really worn out have no padding left whatsoever as me and my friends were all in pain which meant we couldn't skate properly and had to leave early. They ended up ripping the skin off my foot which hurts a lot. My friends also got scabs from them as we could feel the boots digging into our foot the whole time. Apart from the state of the skates, everything else was really nice. It would be nice is they could buy new skates as I'm sure they must be over a decade old.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who prioritise affordable ice skating over modern facilities and are flexible on arrival time. The ice quality is reliable and the pricing accessible. Rental skates are in poor condition β€” bringing your own makes a significant difference.

⏰Bring your own skates if possible β€” rental skates are heavily worn
🎟️Pay by cash if available to move through entry faster
πŸš—Confirm all party details in person or by phone well in advance

β€œA bit worn out I'm afraid Took friends who were visiting over Christmas holidays so Saturday visit in school holidays was busy. Big queue so recommend getting to session early. No pre booking system available. Queue up staircase once we got to booking area one girl taking card payment and one taking cash payments so Id recommend taking cash as you get served quicker. After payment queue you get into another queue for skates then you can finally get into arena which is loud the speakers are up full so for spectators you can't really chat. Spectators pay Β£2. Toilets are available again just a bit worn out. Foid and drink available in cafe I only had a cup of coffee. There's also a vending coffee machine.”

β€œToday we held our daughters 13th birthday party here. For her and her friends. I rang and confirmed everything yesterday having been ringing for half an hour. Basically the place is ran by very young adults. after waiting in the foyer for 20 mins with the cake and guests, we were shown to the party room and basically left to our own devices. They brought a bowl of chicken nuggets and 2 pair of tongs, 5 hot dogs wrapped in foil and a bowl of chips. 2 jugs of dialute juice. I had to find someone to ask for plates and napkins, and a knife for the cake. Oh and a bin bag to clean away after ourselves. Theres was no interaction at all, with anyone really. the place was filthy. (I checked 2 see if my name was still on the bathroom door) lol but the ice skating was great and we made our own fun !!!!! Β£214.50 πŸ‘Žβ€

β€œThe building itself is in a terrible state and looks like it’s falling apart. There were around 4–5 members of staff at the cafe, yet we were left waiting about 15 minutes just to place an order. During that time, staff were sitting on a chest freezer laughing and showing no concern for waiting customers. Even more concerning, I did not see anyone wash their hands at any point. The only friendly and helpful person we encountered was the guy with purple hair at the skate hire desk β€” he was polite, approachable, and the only member of staff who seemed to care. Overall, unprofessional, unhygienic, and extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend this place.”
