South Lanarkshire farm park with Highland cows, wallabies, llamas, and sheep alongside pedal go-karts, trampolines, a safari train, crazy golf, water play, and a bouncy dome. Indoor picnic barn and cafe on-site.

β€”-IT’S A 4.5 STAR REVIEWβ€”- I’ve generally enjoyed Clyde Valley Family Park on past visits, but this last experience left me disheartened. I re-entered the park briefly after already checking in with my yearly membership to then be asked again to prove I’d paid, and when I asked if they suspect me in lying, showing the admission sticker, I was told, β€œSome people do.” That assumption was upsetting, even if it were to cost the business extra few pounds in unpaid visit fees... After all, even if some adults lie - no harm in letting their kids enjoy the park. I also used an on-site EV charger, which had no signage or restrictions. I assumed, as many reasonable customers would, that if it’s in a public business space, it’s likely a perk. Instead, when I went to leave, I was told I was β€œstealing electricity.” I’d have gladly paid if that was a policy, but being accused of theft was deeply disappointing. Let alone that it’s reasonable to expect one or two free chargers when you’re asked to pay for parking at a place with a paid-for entry. I hope the park can clarify its policies, put up clear signage where necessary and provide further guidance to team members to prevent assumptions about lying. I love the park, and totally appreciate the operational side of things. but hope our future visits feel more welcoming and trusting toward loyal visitors.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Families with children aged 2–12 who want a full-day mix of animal encounters and active play will find this venue delivers across both. Term-time visits are noticeably quieter than school holidays. The folly walk involves steep terrain β€” check fitness levels before committing.

⏰Packed lunches are welcome and must be eaten in the designated picnic areas or indoor barn

πŸš—Bring a camera for the Cattle Court walkway above the animal pens

β€œWe visited here as a family end of August after the schools were back in so the park was very quiet, I wouldn’t fancy it personally when it’s busy. Our grandson had a whale of a time experiencing the many attractions and animals, the train ride, pedal go karts, bouncy domes, etc, etc. I also enjoyed the walk through the woods, although the path to the folly is quite steep in places and since I had my camera with me it was also good for taking photos.”

β€œGreat place for kids wasnt an especially nice day but kids had fantastic time, only real downside was kids had to eat their packed lunches outside in rain as you cant eat your own inside, other than that was worth the trip”
