1 / 2Emma Sallis Adventure Playground
π Slough, Greater London
Playground within Black Park's natural setting featuring varied equipment for different ages, a freshwater lake, and extensive woodland trails. Parking on site. Suitable for all ages.
The most peaceful area of park with a freshwater lake around in Slough area with a huge forest. Take plenty of time for yourself to wander around as it is huge. Make sure you have enough charge in your phone to navigate yourself as you may lose yourself walking a lot. Tip: Download offline maps in your phone for this area as there is limited reception for multiple phone carriers. This place is abundant of wildlife. We walked around the lake and fed the ducks, swans, tufted ducks & shovelers. If youβre lucky you may as well spot owl and bats. Look very closely as you will find the fish fawning in the lake too, might need Polaroid sunglasses for better view. There is a cafe next to the lake which has a limited opening hours but you are welcome to bring your picnics & drinks. There are reusable water fountains and toilets in the park too including disabled ones. Place is very picturesque so can be done commercial filming too but need a permission for it. Car park is open until 8:00 pm so make sure you leave on time as the gates shut which is operated by Go Ape and is next door. Car park is however very expensive Β£3.80 for 2 hours but they use the funds for building and maintaining the infrastructures. All in all, a fun filled area for kids as well as adults and great place to walk if you love to hike. Bring comfortable shoes if youβre planning to hike.
π Family Action Verdict
A strong pick for families with children of different ages who want playground equipment alongside genuine outdoor exploration. The Black Park forest and lake add real depth to the visit beyond the play structures.

βReally enjoyed visiting this place with my two young children. Was slightly busy but to be expected on a sunny Sunday. Good variety of play equipment for all ages and has a large sand pit. Found parking prices a bit steep.β
