Swimming centre in Leeds with praised instructors, birthday party packages, and free parking. Toddler-friendly pool access available.
My daughter and I have been taking swimming lessons every Sunday with Aleyna, and I honestly canβt thank her enough. She is incredibly understanding, patient, and reassuring, especially when it comes to any fears or worries in the water. My daughterβs confidence has grown massively, sheβs now 100% more comfortable in the water thanks to Aleynaβs support. As for me, Iβve always clung to that tiny float like itβs my lifeline, convinced itβs the only thing keeping me afloat. But Aleyna has gently pushed me forward, helping me get down to just one float to work on my technique. By the start of each lesson she gets me going, and before I know it, sheβs stepped back watching proudly right next to us in the water. Aleyna is a fantastic instructor, and weβre so grateful for the progress weβve made with her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to build confidence in the water.
π Family Action Verdict
Families focused on swimming lessons will find genuinely strong instruction here, particularly for children with water anxiety. Instructor Aleyna is specifically recommended for nervous swimmers. The changing room experience is frustrating β overcrowded, poorly enforced, and lacking privacy β so factor in extra time around lessons.

βAll disabled bays are always full, none with badges displayed. People reserve cubicles by leaving their stuff inside or sitting guarding them while their kids are swimming for half an hour. If you let the staff know they go in and move the stuff however it's every week several cubicles left will clothing to stop you going in. We've mentioned it week in week out but nothing changes. The 4 family cubicles which are larger and better for people with families or disabilities people sit in them with the doors locked the whole time their kids are swimming so people can't use them. Or just sit there with the door open and not let you enter It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. Again if you have a disability and need more space it's not possible you have to enter the busy crowded Changing rooms and look in every cubicle until you find one that isn't 'reserved' filled with clothes. Never known anything like it. I'm Changing leisure centres and driving further away because it's just a joke.β

βDO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT: DO NOT GO HERE FOR THE GYM. the gym is horrible. Why? - Tiny Gym - Very noisy with kids - Cannot adjust the seat of the machines - Measured in resistance, not kgs or pounds??? - No free weights/barbell - Very old - Children constantly hog the machines - Smells bad overall - Very low max resistanceβ

Overview
Fearnville Leisure Centre in Leeds offers swimming pools, lessons, and birthday party packages with free parking and pram access. Instructor Aleyna receives repeated praise for patience with nervous young swimmers. The gym is small, uses resistance-based machines rather than weight-based equipment, and shares space with children during swimming sessions. Changing room management is a persistent issue β cubicles are reserved with belongings and disabled facilities are regularly blocked.
