A large, sandy playground with two distinct areas for younger and older children. The older playground in particular is absolutely fantastic with lots of sand, several tall slides, rope bridges and a zip wire. The large perimeter fence is good for keeping children from running off while you relax but completely cuts you off from the rest of the park, which is a bit of a shame. There is just enough green space within the perimeter for a picnic though and there are toilets and a cafe in the People's Palace which is about a 5 min walk away. On nice days an ice-cream can often parks outside the entrance.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for adventurous children aged 5 and up who want large-scale climbing, a zip line, and tall slides. The toddler section extends access to younger siblings. Closed shoes are essential given the deep sand surface. Parents should supervise actively throughout β€” the sand depth means items can be concealed.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Closed shoes are essential β€” the entire playground surface is deep sand
⏰Toilets and a cafe are available at the People's Palace, a 5-minute walk away
🎟️An ice cream van is often parked outside on good weather days
πŸš—The toddler section is separate from the older children's zone β€” useful for mixed-age families

β€œBrilliant little find whilst we're on holiday! Little man just started to be comfortable with climbing and oh did he climb!! Do note the whole area is a big sandpit - our little man doesn't really do sand, but the excitement of climbing superceded that! There is also a younger toddler section at the back (again a giant sandpit), but some equipments there are quite damaged but overall, a thumbs up for the park(s)!”

β€œGreat park for the adventurous child. The slides are massive and enjoyable. And the β€œdeath slide” is also great fun. Lovely area and nice walk around the park.”

Overview

The play village divides into two distinct areas β€” a toddler section and an older children's zone with tall slides, rope bridges, climbing structures, and a zip line. The entire area is a deep sand surface. A perimeter fence limits exit points. Reviewers praise the scale and variety of the climbing equipment. One review reports a serious safety incident involving a used needle found in the sand, raising notes about the site's condition at certain times.
