1 / 2Glasgow Green Play Village
π Central Scotland
Glasgow Green Play Village is a large sandy playground with separate zones for younger and older children, featuring tall slides, rope bridges, climbing structures, and a zip line. Toilets and a cafe are a short walk at the People's Palace.
A large, sandy playground with two distinct areas for younger and older children. The older playground in particular is absolutely fantastic with lots of sand, several tall slides, rope bridges and a zip wire. The large perimeter fence is good for keeping children from running off while you relax but completely cuts you off from the rest of the park, which is a bit of a shame. There is just enough green space within the perimeter for a picnic though and there are toilets and a cafe in the People's Palace which is about a 5 min walk away. On nice days an ice-cream can often parks outside the entrance.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for adventurous children aged 5 and up who want large-scale climbing, a zip line, and tall slides. The toddler section extends access to younger siblings. Closed shoes are essential given the deep sand surface. Parents should supervise actively throughout β the sand depth means items can be concealed.

βBrilliant little find whilst we're on holiday! Little man just started to be comfortable with climbing and oh did he climb!! Do note the whole area is a big sandpit - our little man doesn't really do sand, but the excitement of climbing superceded that! There is also a younger toddler section at the back (again a giant sandpit), but some equipments there are quite damaged but overall, a thumbs up for the park(s)!β
