1 / 3Guildford Spectrum
π Guildford, Greater London
Comprehensive leisure complex with heated swimming pools, water slides, toddler splash area, year-round ice rink, ten-pin bowling, and Specky's Soft Play Pirate Ship. Free parking on site.
We had a fantastic visit to Guildford Spectrum swimming complex & would highly recommend it to families & anyone looking for a fun day out. The water slides were a real highlight. Theyβre exciting, well maintained & suitable for a range of ages. There was plenty of variety, so both kids & adults had a great time going back again and again. The staff & service were excellent throughout our visit. Everyone was friendly, welcoming & helpful which really added to the overall experience. The changing facilities were spacious, modern & very clean. There were plenty of lockers & cubicles, so it never felt crowded. The showers were also great, good water pressure, warm & well looked after. Booking was very straightforward & easy to do online which made the whole process smooth & stress free before we even arrived. Overall, the entire complex was very clean & clearly well managed. Itβs a great place to spend a few hours & weβll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want swimming and ice skating in one location without paying for two separate venues. The swimming complex is the standout β multiple slides suit a wide age range and water temperature is consistently warm. Ice skating works well for first-timers, and skating aid availability is capped so booking them in advance is essential.

βPossibly the best affordable themed pool in England, almost waterpark size minus the high price. The water temperature was perfectly warm, there were 2 hot tubs and plenty of rides, of which 3 were long. The decor was artistic, featuring model fishes and some rocky landscaping between things. Also there was a wave machine and enough space to swim laps in the 1.5 metres end.β

βLovely ice rink, we had a great time. It was a little busy on new year's eve but it all worked out well π I recommend booking the supports in advance if you have first timers with you, because there's only so many available and adults definitely need the taller ones.β

βVery good and helpful staff. Went ice skating and swimming. Ice skating good with plenty of time on the ice. Recommend paying for skating aids before as these go very quickly. They are very expensive though, at Β£10 each. Being a party of 3 requiring a "polar bear" each, it was a lot to spend on top of the actual skating. Swimming began well with all pools open. However after just half an hour the two main pools were shut for swimming lessons meaning everyone now had to go into the leisure pool. As it was half term, the pools were very full. Lots of boisterous young teens rushing around the smaller baby area unchecked was challenging. This is my second visit and both times I did find the pool and air temperature cold.β

Overview
Guildford Spectrum operates a large heated swimming complex with multiple water slides including three long rides, two hot tubs, and a dedicated toddler area. The year-round ice rink hosts public sessions and ice shows, with skating aids available for beginners. Ten-pin bowling and Specky's Soft Play Pirate Ship add further options. Badminton, squash, and an athletics track are also on site. Book swimming sessions in advance as lesson blocks can close the main pool.
