I recently moved over from JSE at Urmston to follow the fab helpers, staff and instructors to their permanent base at High Legh Equestrian. I was a little unsure how things would go as I had thought that the location was not quite as convenient for me however I have been so surprised at how easy it is to get there and the drive over is absolutely lovely setting you up for your lesson. To be able to ride outdoors is a real bonus though the backup of being able to go indoors in poor weather is a real plus too. The yard is very well kept, clean & tidy, the horses well looked after, the welcome is warm and the facilities are fabulous, the large outdoor arena in particular is helping me with my riding fitness. High Legh Riding Centre cater for complete beginners through to Jumping Clinics and everything in between. They are particularly good with riders returning after a long break and very good at matching you up with the correct horse or pony based on your riding level. I have personally been riding for over 45 years and I can highly recommend them. Oh, and did I ever think I would be show jumping again? No, but I am loving it!

A great riding centre! We’ve been to a riding centre in a different part of Manchester; after not being very satisfied with their lessons, staff and organisation we decided to look elsewhere and High Lee Riding Centre came recommended. The staff Mel and Abbie are great, very welcoming and friendly. The whole riding school, is organised, clean and a brilliant booking system in place. My daughter and I are looking forward to being more regulars and I’m looking forward to her flourishing with Mel and Abbie. Thank you ☺️

I've been riding with Abi and John for nearly 3.5 years—starting at John Shaw Equestrian in Manchester and now at High Legh—and I can honestly say they are the best in the business. Their horses are a joy to ride, each with its own personality and something unique to teach. Mel, my instructor, makes every lesson fun, engaging, and purposeful, with clear goals and lots of encouragement. The whole team is super supportive, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I would highly recommend having lessons at High Legh!
