1 / 3Hollywood Bowl Bury
📍 Bury, North West
Hollywood Bowl Bury runs 24 lanes including VIP lanes, an arcade with ticket prizes, American pool tables, Hollywood Bar with Costa Coffee, and a diner. Located on the second floor with lift and escalator access.
I accidentally booked 5 lots of family tickets but I only required 1. I rang up the bowling alley and they were so helpful organising a refund for me, even talking me through how look at the apple wallet details on my phone. This made me feel so relieved. Looking forward to coming in the half term with the kids.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who book lanes in advance and focus on bowling rather than dining. The staff are a genuine strength — particularly for resolving booking errors. Food service has drawn widespread criticism for slow delivery and quality; eating before or after elsewhere avoids frustration.

“Really great staff! Gets very busy but there is a bar (and it serves Costa coffee!) with some tables and comfortable chairs, can watch others bowling or play on the amusement machines. Located on the second floor but there are escalators and lifts.”

“Hollywood Bowl Bury is a great place for a game. The lanes are good, there’s a decent arcade, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Only a couple of things let it down slightly. The lightest bowling ball still felt quite heavy, which is unusual as most places have at least one slightly lighter option. Also, the toilets never seem to have soap, which is pretty unpleasant and not what you want in a venue like this. Aside from that, it’s a solid setup and a fun place to go.”

“Came in yesterday with my family, friendly staff however unfortunately a few things have let this visit down. Ordered food to the lane, 20 mins later finished game, so had to then go sit at tables to wait for food. 40 mins later my partner asked what was taking so long as they were very quiet, magical the food came out after that and oh boy was that a disappointment. Burger was dry and with a vinegar taste and a stale bun, chicken and mozzarella sticks were overcooked. Pointed the burger out to staff members who apologised and informed magagement but offered no refund or replacement. Also toilets dirty and no toilet roll in majority of cubicles. This is why I have left a 2 star. If it wasn't for the friendly women on front of house/cook I would have given a 1 star. Would not return.”
