Horton Golf Park is hands down one of the best places in Surrey to spend a sunny afternoon – and it’s not just for golfers! I visited recently with a group of friends, and we were blown away by how much there is to do here. The star of the show has to be their Jurassic Adventure Mini Golf – where else can you play through a course guarded by Godzilla and King Kong? The theming is fantastic, with life-size statues, clever obstacles, and a layout that’s fun for both kids and adults. It’s the perfect mix of challenge and entertainment, and we couldn’t stop taking photos along the way. The mini golf park is very well maintained – clean, tidy, and clearly looked after. The flow of the course is good, so even if it’s busy, you don’t feel like you’re waiting forever at each hole. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, helping us get set up with clubs and balls. They clearly want everyone to have a great time, which adds to the experience. Once we finished our round, we headed over to the café and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We ordered burgers, sandwiches, and a few drinks, and everything was fresh, tasty, and served quickly. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually sit down, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere rather than just grabbing a quick bite. The outdoor seating area is perfect in the summer – you can watch other groups playing mini golf while enjoying your meal. For those interested in “real” golf, the park also has a driving range and a full course, so you can practice your swing or even make a full day out of it. It feels like a place designed for everyone – whether you’re a serious golfer, a casual player, or just looking for a unique family activity. I also really appreciated how walkable and accessible Horton Golf Park is. There’s plenty of parking if you’re driving, but even if you’re coming by public transport, it’s not hard to get to.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for mixed-age family groups where adults want a driving range or full golf option alongside children on the adventure mini golf. The Jurassic theming is the strongest draw for children aged 4 and above. Course conditions are weather-dependent — wet days produce muddy sections.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Collect mini golf clubs and balls from the main shop if the on-course hut is closed
Book online in advance during good weather as the course fills quickly
🎟️Course surfaces can get wet and soft after rain — waterproof footwear helps
🚗Adults can use the covered driving range as children are on the mini golf course

I’ve really enjoyed my 8 beginner lessons with Henry. He is patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in your progress. He is also very analytical with swings, carefully observing and explaining each detail to help you improve efficiently.

Great facilities. Family friendly. Reasonable prices. Golf shop, mini-golf, academy course, full 18-hole, driving range, practice greens and chipping areas…and a restaurant with play area for kids…

Nice surprise to get an age reduction in cost. Fairly busy due to reasonable weather although course quite wet (buggies allowed as paths available). Narrow course with an out of bounds on 12 that doesn't seem to worry anyone. Excellent clubhouse but extremely busy as wake in progress. Enjoy.
