A working farm combined with a zoo featuring lions, crocodiles, a tropical house, and free-roaming peacocks. On-site dining spans a tea room, steakhouse, and carvery, plus a farm shop selling home-produced meats.

We have visited the zoo for my wife's birthday. We had lunch at the cafe to start with. Food was excellent. I would highly recommend their All day breakfast with sausages from their farm shop on site. The zoo was amazing and great value for money. The animals looked happy and comfortable despite the miserable weather. The enclosures were decent sized and well kept. The lions were gorgeous. You must visit the tropical house for all the crocodiles. We also visited the farm shop for closing. It is the best farm shop I have ever visited in my life. The meat counter was out of this world. Great variety of sausages, steaks, burgers and whatever you can imagine they have it. The shop itself is well stocked with everything that you would ever need and the prices were reasonable too. I would highly recommend visiting as often you can!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want a full day with a mix of animal encounters, quality food, and farm shopping rather than a conventional zoo-only visit. All ages are well catered for, from young children feeding animals to adults enjoying the steakhouse.

πŸš—Allow a full day to take in the zoo, dining options, and farm shop without rushing

β€œBrilliant afternoon out, loads to see, the Lions looked the happiest we've ever seen. The crocodiles are also really interesting and the warmth inside was a welcome warm up from the cold weather. The butchers and farm shop is really well stocked with some wonderful food and drink. We ate in the steakhouse, the carvery was really good and the staff were all very friendly. Croc bite gin was worth the trip alone. We travelled over an hour to get here and we will definitely be back. It was my lads birthday and they made him feel really special. Great value. 1 tip the gravel paths were muddy as it had been so wet so bring spare footwear.”

β€œLoved it! Nice little farm with a farm shop, a coffee shop, a steakhouse and a zoo, and some animals roaming free like peacocks. Food is absolutely delicious, people are very nice and approachable, and products are high quality. I will definitely come back. You might struggle to find space during lunchtime at the coffe shop. Also, do bring boots and a good coat though, as when it's raining, it is full on muddy and can be quite windy too.”

β€œGreat place to visit! Considering the price it is so so so worth! We didnt expect it to be such an amazing place :) Kids loved that! We’ll definitely be back! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Friendly tip: if you’re planning a visit, bring wellies – we came after rainy days and it was very muddy.”
