Visited Legoland as a two day stopover from London to Warrington. Our trip was fabulous. The man entrance was clean, the concierge were courteous and very helpful, my kids loved the Lego pit and the character wall. Check in was a breeze. Next, the elevators were a lot of fun. An announcement by one of the characters making jokes and the comments matching the theme of our floor was a great idea. It was a little on the loud side but fun nonetheless. The room was better than expected. It was clean and again matched appropriately to the pirate theme. My kids loved the kids bunk bed area, the fat they had their own Lego. Channel TV, and the treasure hunt was the best thing ever. They stayed entertained while my husband and I got everything organized. Their treasure was well received and very appreciated. The restaurant buffet the next morning was again better than expected. It was more than the typical croissants and coffee. It was a full breakfast. During breakfast we were even visited by a Lego character. It was fun. The staff continue to be warm and welcoming. They are very kind and very well trained. The park wasn’t available because we came during the early Spring and mid-week but there was still the pool, arcade and the play space. Another fabulous part was the dragon at the entrance. At night he snores and during the day he breathes fire (smoke). We had joyed everything. We couldn’t have stayed at a better price and the cost was well worth the experience. I would definitely seek this place out again if we return to the area.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 2–12 who want a full theme park day built around their scale. The LEGO model installations and themed zones keep younger children genuinely engaged throughout. Head to the back of the park first for shorter queues.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Head to the back of the park on arrival for the shortest queues early in the day
Bring your own food — park catering is expensive and receives poor quality reviews
🎟️Merlin Passes offer value if you plan multiple visits across the year
🚗Hotel guests get early park access — ask staff about all included activities at check-in

Brillant for kids and big kids food not so great take your own. Lego chips are just patterend potatoe waffles. Hotel castle lovely bit make sure you speak to staff as we missed out on stuff as no staff welcomed us. Also breakfast ask staff and say if yourve never been there as they will try and charge you for coffees and extras. Also find out what rides are early open helps with ques the trains great from the top but check when they stop running. Go with a plan makes life easier But all in all great time and kids loved it.

We had a brilliant day at Legoland Windsor Resort. The park is clean, well organised and perfect for families with younger children. The rides are fun without being overwhelming, and the Lego models are genuinely impressive. Staff were friendly and helpful. It wasn’t too busy as we went during the weekday. It was well worth it for the atmosphere and how excited the kids were all day. Would definitely visit again.

Some of the rides and cafés were closed as we went in late December (no price reduction though), but it was still wonderful to go with the whole family and friends who were visiting. We had a great time even though it was cold, and as we went straight to the back of the park we had some veey short ride times. The 4D experience was a bit hit and miss, there wasn't much of a story, just flashing lights, wind and fast moving 3D animation, They should make a 4D Bluey experience or something. Overall, I would definitely go back in the Spring or Summer, especially if we got Merlin Passes because that would make it worth it, and the kids would be able to actually play outside and enjoy more experiences. They did have lockers which was useful, but as we had priority parking the car was very close, that was worth it as well.
