Longleat Safari Park offers drive-through safari experiences, a seasonal train to Santa's grotto, Wallace and Gromit light displays, and walkthrough animal areas. Staff are consistently praised for their knowledge and warmth.
We came to the safari park for the Wallace and gromit lights, we also came in 2023 for the lights and they are out of this world! So so good!! When we came this time the weather was horrific (11/1/26) I was so surprised at the staff! They were all so happy and upbeat even though standing for long periods being pelted on the face by what could only be described as a full on storm! We still had staff members offering to take our photos even at half 6 when Iβm sure they all wanted to go home and get dry! We started on foot and headed straight for the boat, my 3 year old loved feeding the Sealions! We then carried on the foot Safari until we couldnβt take the cold any longer and headed for the car Safari (we didnβt get out for the wallabyβs bit we didnβt dare what with the weather). That was hands down our best safari experience weβve ever had! The animals were all happy and playing! The blooming monkeys nicked a teddy tardis which Iβd forgotten was attached to the grill π«£π but this made our toddler cry with laughter and sheβs still talking about it now a month on! I could not recommend this safari park more! Our only regret is weβve not managed to visit in warmer months! You will definitely be getting a visit this summer!
π Family Action Verdict
Exceptional for families with young children and toddlers who want a full day of animal encounters with genuinely caring, knowledgeable staff. The drive-through safari, walking areas, and seasonal events add up to far more than a single day can cover comfortably.

βWe went to Longleat for the Christmas lights! We spent a fun day exploring the animals and visiting Santa on the Santa train. The train took us to Santa's grotto where we saw Santa and got a lovely Longleat teddy bear. We then had some face painting and hot chocolate. After visiting Santa, we took the safari, and it was so much fun! We got to see all the animals up close, especially the lions and tigers. In the afternoon, we explored the play areas and then enjoyed a wonderful picnic. After that, we waited for the lights to come on. They were really beautiful, but unfortunately, a really bad downpour started, and we got pretty soaked! But the lights were super cool! They told some amazing stories about Wallace and Gromit, and Shaun the Sheep.β

βWe absolutely love Longleat! The staff are so nice and great to chat to. They all have a wonderful respect for the animals. I get so many fun stories from them and we learn a lot about the animals. We've been members for a while now and it's worth every penny! I highly recommend the VIP meerkat experience.β
