BHS-affiliated centre founded in 1987 with immaculate stables and patient instructors. Children progress from half-hour beginner sessions to full hour lessons with games, adapting to individual ability.
My teenage daughter has now had 4-5 lessons in a group session. The stables are immaculate, the youngsters helping the beginners classes are always helpful and respectful. My daughter is learning a lot - and gaining confidence. The teachers adapt the lesson to the individuals ability as much as possible. Catering for all ages and abilities I’m even considering lessons myself - having ridden in the past. My main hope is that there’s more continuity where each lesson is passed into the next and the teachers continue the lessons following on. The horses are all extremely well cared for and as far as I can see behave very well. The only improvement I could suggest is the availability of trekking. Can’t rate higher xx

“My daughters favourite place! Brilliant and patient instructors. She has moved from the 1/2 lessons which gave her confidence around the horses, to the full hour lessons with lots of fun games, extra information and techniques. A fabulous place for a horse mad girl!”

“Fabulous place for anyone who likes horses, The other volunteers I volunteer here with there are always friendly and respectful of each other. The horses are always well behaved and never hurt anyone. I recommend that if you want to learn to ride, that you learn here.”
