1 / 3Mizens Railway (Woking Miniature Railway Society)
📍 Woking, Greater London
7-inch gauge miniature railway operating through 10 acres of wooded grounds near Woking. Two routes available: the Suburban (three-quarter mile) and the Miler (one mile). Birthday party packages with private platforms, plus winter Santa events.
We spent a lovely day at the railway today. Both adults and children really enjoyed it. For 2 rides we paid for 3 adults and 2 kids 25 pounds and 10 pounds for ice creams which was not much. We enjoyed to stay and watch the trains while we had the ice creams. I recommend to go early as soon as they open as the queues become bigger around 3.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with train-loving children of any age who want a longer ride than most miniature railways offer. The Miler route in particular gives a proper woodland journey rather than a short loop. Volunteer enthusiasm is genuine and adds warmth to the experience.

“Brilliant miniature railway, really well set up with some long runs. People that run it are really friendly and there's always a good atmosphere. My daughter loves it. There's hot drinks and snacks available too, as well as plenty of seating.”

Overview
Mizens runs on 7-inch gauge track with two distinct circuits through tree-lined grounds. The Miler route takes 10–15 minutes and passes through the fullest stretch of woodland. Volunteer crews are enthusiastic and engage with both children and adults throughout the ride. Hot drinks, snacks, and ice cream are available on-site. Seating areas allow families to watch trains between rides. Santa events run in December with a dedicated platform.
