Old Bexley Equestrian Centre
π Bexley, Greater London
Family-run BHS-accredited equestrian centre in Bexley offering lessons from age 2. Tiny tots sessions for 2-6 year olds, private and semi-private lessons, pony parties, and woodland hacks across a diverse range of horses.
it's a great place where they have not only safe ponies for beginners like me, where I was after the accident and my legs were shaking and it was hard to trust the horse on which I sat, I had a choice of several and they were all safe and sweet, but they also have a selection of sports horses where in other places itβs hard even look one. Great is that, it is possible to build a bond with animals that you love because its small family stable and they can give you time for that you can always cam in and hug your horses early not like in other stables that you come to lessons and after the lesson you go home. In a short time, I learned a lot more about horses because I could spend more time with them. There are also adorable ponies for kids that you can see in my photos because I love them and because I love taking photos and I can combine it there into one and I have time for it, so you can see many of them on my account.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting long-term equestrian development from a very young age. The tiny tots program is one of the youngest entry points available in south-east London. Children who've stalled at other yards β or lost confidence after a bad experience β appear in multiple reviews as turnaround cases.

β5 stars are not enough! If you are looking for a welcoming, friendly yard either to have lessons or as livery, look no further! The staff are kind, expert and always put the horses first. Wendy Tucker is an extraordinary BHS accredited coach, supportive and expert. All owners and riders at the yard are encouraging, show jumping and dressage shows take place regularly - there's something for everyone.β

βMy daughter was making zero progress at another yard, so we thought we'd make one last effort here. Well, I'm so glad we did! My daughter has actually progressed and is like a totally different rider! The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, whilst the horses are enthusiastic and extremely well looked after. I would 100% recommend this yard.β
