βThis is a lovely cinema, which is comfortable and always has all the latest film releases, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, Omniplex have introduced a new pricing system in that the sofas were always included in the price of the monthly Omniplex pass, which my niece pays for as a gift, but theyβre now an added extra. In addition, you canβt book a single seat on a double sofa, however empty it is. If you want to go on your own, you canβt book a sofa unless thereβs a single sofa available, which isnβt always the case in every screen. If you want a sofa for comfort and youβre on your own, you have to pay for the empty seat that youβre not using, as you canβt leave the other seat empty. Alternatively you have to purchase one of the less comfortable individual seats, which I find uncomfortable due to my back issues. And donβt try sneaking onto a sofa in the hope that they wonβt check up on you, because a member of staff often comes in and randomly checks tickets. Having said all that, I do enjoy going and theyβve just introduced Costa hot drinks, which is great. You also get three hours free parking at the St Nicholas Centre car park next door when you get your car parking ticket validated on the way out of the cinema. Soβ¦ itβs four stars from me.β

βWe have regularly visited this cinema and have always had a good experience. However, the last couple of films we have watched have all been ruined by the behaviour of other people. People scrolling on their phones, recording with flash, jumping up and down and climbing on seats. When we spoke to the staff about this after the film, they were very nice about it and quite helpful. However, they said that their policy for anti-social behaviour is for people to leave the screen, come and tell them, and then have them go in to tell them to stop. Iβm not sure this system is working, surely it will be obvious who alerted the staff. I know that I would not feel comfortable following that procedure. I hope they amend this policy soon, as otherwise itβs a lovely venue with amazing staff.β

βThe cinema itself is nice and cosy, with a good selection of snacks and reasonable prices- seats are comfortable with good sound. We just had a ticket issue and staff was very rude and dismissive. We ended up watching another movie as we had travelled a long distance to see something but will not visit again.β
