Platt Fields Skate Park
π Fallowfield, North West
Outdoor skate park in Fallowfield with ramps, a manual pad, and grinding boxes. Used by skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders. The wooden original was demolished and replaced with new obstacles.
So Fun, I met My Best Friend There.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for confident skaters aged 10 and up who want a social park with a mix of obstacles. The redeveloped setup is an improvement on the previous wooden ramps, and the social scene makes it a good spot for children who skate regularly. Beginners and younger children will find the obstacles challenging.

βThe original wooden skatepark has now been demolished !!! due to issues with it being unsafe and having big holes in the ramps and funding issues . The old park has been replaced with ramps/manual pad and a few other obstacles.the council have sent a survey around asking the users of the skatepark about what they would like to be built / ramps/bowls/stairs set/ but think it will all come down to the cost all this happened last year 2025. Grate skatepark for all ages and beginners to advance different size ramps grind box .outdoors so can become a duck pond due to lack of drains can get a bit rugged cos the skatepark is made of wood and problems with funding/getting the ramps renovated. The skatepark can get very busy with young children and with the park being open to skateboards/BMX/scooters the skatepark has a fence around it .Their are bins and toilets are in the park too the skatepark can get a bit messy with litterβ

βIf you are lucky enough to find this place dry (which is difficult since there is no drainage and it stays wet for days), you will find a couple wooden ramps along with a 3 side bank and a couple boxes for grinding/sliding. The ramps have seen better days but they are still very possible to skate, altogether they might be a little big for total beginners. The coping on the ramps is alright, although it is old-school so it is easy to get stuck. The grinding boxes are quite tall and not too beginner friendly, but they still provide a good practice.β

Overview
Platt Fields Skate Park in Fallowfield has been redeveloped after the original wooden structure was demolished due to safety notes and funding issues. The replacement includes ramps, a manual pad, and obstacles for grinding and sliding. The park attracts a mixed crew of skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users and has a social atmosphere where regulars get to know each other. Drainage problems mean the surface stays wet long after rain stops.
