A fine little aquarium. My wife and I visited on a Monday afternoon in cold February. No wait to get in. We took our time going over the various exhibits and was there for about an hour and 15 minutes. We knew it was a small aquarium, but I have to say the space is well used. We saw several fine creatures who were kept on good conditions. Of particular interest were the miniature caymans amd the stingrays. The meerkats and marmosets were very cute, though I'm not sure why they're at an aquarium!! For animal lovers this is a great place to visit. Highly recommended.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want quality wildlife encounters over large-scale spectacle. The feeding shows β€” particularly sharks and stingrays β€” are genuinely engaging for children of any age. Weekday visits eliminate queues entirely. Compact size means 60–90 minutes covers everything comfortably, making it an easy half-day anchor in St Andrews.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Stay for the shark and ray feeding sessions β€” timings are posted on arrival
⏰Weekday visits have no wait to enter and a more relaxed pace
🎟️The exterior underrepresents the interior β€” the space is well used and larger than it appears
πŸš—Pram-accessible throughout all indoor exhibits

β€œWe came on a weekday as part of a group who home educated their children ... so a school trip that the adults get to go on too. There is something for everyone to see and love. It was all clean, well presented and staff were helpful and considerate of our different needs on the day. When you walk up you can't help but feel a little sceptical as it doesn't look big enough but it is very deceptive. Loved our visit, good helpful knowledgeable staff and their cafe made the best chips / burger combo.”

β€œVisited today with my partner and had a lovely time. Brilliant place very clean, all the tanks looked maintained and animals were very active and happy! Great for kids can sit and draw next to the monkeys, the sharks and sting rays were the highlight they just looked so happy and very entertaining coming up and dancing. It’s a family owned business and they have done a great job πŸ‘β€

β€œI absolutely loved it!! Never knew it existed but will definitely be going back. So many different species to see and learn about. Stayed for the ray and shark feed which was really great to see. Was only Β£16 per adult and well worth the money. Highly recommend a visit!”
