Absolutely amazing! if in Hull you mist visit. Ive been to various sea life place in the UK and abroad and this one beats them all a lift in the main pool ! An underwater tunnel, seating areas to sit and relax watching the fish etc. cold water and tropics. plenty educational bits and videos etc. Really well set out as you can see the main pool from many angles and perspectives. you can even put you head in a bubble to be part of that world. its Β£23 but the ticket is valid for a year so good for return visits. they have penguins although they do have a particular odour! Haha there are so many species and amazing displays of jellyfish, sharks and turtles You can also see the inner workings of the aquarium which is interesting. The most amazing things are the endangered saw fish! unreal to observe, massive and a cross of a ray a shark and a few other things! and curious and graceful. some viewing areas are curved so its like the sharks are directly swimming at you. Outside there is a shark statue and a diving bell ! i had a great time and felt very relaxed except one section with bugs! (not my thing) don’t miss out the cold water section as they have north sea exhibits with cod, pollock etc. all decent sizes.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for marine-curious families with children of any age β€” toddlers respond to the bright tropical displays, older children gravitate toward the shark tunnel and interactive zones. The year-long admission pass makes the ticket price sensible for families who can return.

β€œReally good day out with the kids. The tickets are expensive, but they last for the whole year, for as many trips as you like. The aquarium is spread over 3 floors, with the lagoon and the deep tank being our favourite bits. The penguins were fun too, though they all seemed a bit bored when we went! We went through a tunnel with a huge ray and a saw shark going right over us, which was very cool. The aquarium is set out with a course to follow from beginning to end, so you can see everything. There's plenty of toilets, and a few cafes. It seemed good for accessibility with ramps and lifts. Lots of interactive things for kids to do, and info boards for older kids and adults. Highly recommended!”

β€œAmazing day out at a really well designed and fun, easy to navigate aquarium. Parking available outside and no booking is needed, passes give you free entry for a year when you buy them at the desk as you go in. You start from the top of the aquarium and work your way down as you travel throughout history and learn about the planet and its marine history. Very informative and fascinating, really good for people of all ages. It is accessible throughout and hosts a range of many different aquatic species. Food, toilets and gift shop is all available here. Easily the best place to visit in Hull!”

β€œWe had a really nice visit to the Deep. We attended on a Monday morning first thing so it was nice and quiet and we could take our time and enjoy the exhibits. Everything was well laid out, the fish and animals where well cared for. Staff were brilliant throughout, friendly and helpful and we will be going back to take advantage of the annual pass!”
