The Kids Space
📍 Greater London
Indoor soft play centre at Southside Wandsworth built exclusively for children under 5, with multiple themed play zones, climbing structures, and toddler-specific areas across 90-minute timed sessions.
If you have babies or toddlers and find yourself at Southside, The Kids Space is an absolute lifesaver. Unlike many soft plays that feel chaotic, this is specifically designed for the under-5s, meaning no big kids charging around! The recent upgrade is fantastic. My toddler spent the whole 90-minute session jumping between the huge ball pit and the role-play stations (the little shops are adorable and so well-maintained). There’s also a dedicated sensory corner and an 'apple tree' feature that the younger babies seem to love. Specifics for parents: Location: It’s on the 1st floor (right opposite Nando’s), so it’s easy to grab lunch before or after. Price: Extremely reasonable (£4 for toddlers, £2 for crawlers, and under-6 months are free!). Cleanliness: It’s much cleaner than your average soft play, and the staff are really diligent about session times. It’s the perfect place to let them burn off energy while you’re mid-shop. Highly recommend!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with babies and toddlers under 5 who want a calm soft play without older children present. The exclusive under-5 focus keeps the environment manageable and age-appropriate. Sessions can fill up — book ahead for weekends. Parents of children over 4 should check age cutoffs before visiting.

“Clean and well maintained. Lady running it was on point and very friendly. Fab coffee. Good entry price. Unfortunately, some adults think they can come to places like this for free child care whilst they work. I witness a woman fully ignoring her child and he asked for her help to get his arm out of a dress up costume. Poor chap looked up at me for help!! Later on, that same child punched a BABY in the face. If you’re going to use these facilities, look after your children!!”

“We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Kids Space. The setting is wonderful: lots of different play areas, something for everyone. The children had so much fun and the parents were able to relax. The staff were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it.”

“I’ve brought my 1 year old here twice, and unfortunately both times she had contracted a virus. I like this play area, it’s very reasonably priced and their coffee is great. I’m not leaving a bad review, as I know that toddlers get ill often once they start school etc. As the place is quite enclosed, it needs a more thorough sanitisation after every session. Or maybe have a smaller quota for the sessions as it can get pretty packed.”
