The Light Redhill
π Redhill, Greater London
Entertainment complex offering 11 activities including duck-pin bowling, film-themed mini golf, adventure climbing, interactive darts, axe throwing, karaoke, and cinema. Birthday party packages include a dedicated host and decorated tables.
This is a great place to bring your kids or for you to have fun or relax. There are so many options to choose from. Bowling, cinema, mini golf, pool, arcade, darts, and more. We enjoyed the mini golf, darts, and arcade games. We also enjoyed some food. All in all, the customer service was great. Some people came there to have kids' parties, so it's a good venue for that as well. I wish there were more events and games centres like this everywhere. Kids would have something to do away from home and their gadgets.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 8 and above wanting a variety of indoor activities without venue-hopping. The duck-pin bowling party experience has earned strong praise, with named hosts like Sophie consistently highlighted in reviews. Families with children under 6 should the mini golf course uses hard balls and has low lighting in sections.

βMy daughter celebrated her 10th Birthday today. We booked a duck pin bowling party. From start to finish Sophie, our party girl was fantastic. Calm, polite and super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I would have a party here again. Well done Sophie and well done the light.β

βIt's a nice place for bowling. We had a technical issue at first and had to wait for 20 minutes, but the staff was friendly and extended our time. It's a quiet and pleasant place to relax with friends and family.β

βWe visited The Light Redhill this evening for bowling and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When we arrived there was no one available to greet or guide us, and we had to search around before eventually finding someone to take us to our lane. When we got there, one of our lanes was still occupied and another had just finished, leaving a significant mess which we had to clear ourselves because no staff were available. We finally managed to start our game around 6:15pm, despite our booking being for 6pm. Then at 7pm the machine automatically reset for the next booking, even though we had lost time due to the earlier delays. This led to an unpleasant confrontation with the group booked after us, and we were verbally abused despite the situation not being our fault. We spoke to the manager who was polite and empathetic, but he said he did not have the authority to resolve the issue and that we would have to wait until Monday to hear back. That really isnβt acceptable when the problem occurred on the night. More generally, the venue appeared poorly organised. There were plenty of staff walking around restocking shelves, clearing trays and loading dishwashers, but very few visible customer-facing staff to help guests. People were queuing for around 20 minutes to spend over Β£80 on drinks, which says a lot about how inefficient things were. Overall it felt chaotic and badly managed. What should have been a fun evening ended up being frustrating and disappointing.β
