I attended a taster session for my first attempt at climbing and it was fantastic. Damien was extremely helpful, knowledgable and supportive. I was really nervous, but was quickly put at ease by Damien's calm and friendly tuition, and I had a great time attempting a variety of walls. He gave me lots of encouragement and coached me on the correct techniques in a fun and engaging manner. If you are interested in trying climbing but a bit anxious to try I would highly recommend coming to The Ridge. There is a large variety of walls and you will definitely leave with a sense of accomplishment and desire to return! £20 for all the equipment and one-to-one tuition is an absolute bargain as well. I can't wait to learn more!

“Second time visiting as we live about 180 miles away, which is a real pity as a great place. Staff are very friendly and give good advice. The climbs are great and some have good height as in an old mill. Will definitely be back.”

Taster sessions cover equipment hire and one-to-one tuition. Weekly kids classes run for ages 5+. Outdoor Peak District climbing trips are available when conditions allow.
