Such a cool place to find and visit. This is so funny and we had a brilliant time creating some hilarious photos 😅 you get 20 minutes in the house, it can make you feel a little dizzy and out for sorts so beware. There is a member of staff upstairs who will take pictures for you if you you ask ( she did ask us ) Its simple but a nice simple way to have a laugh. I think it is a little pricey for what it is but we've done it now so dont think we will do it again. No booking needed , there is something who will do it there. I would definitely go see it and have a nosey ☺️ i think you'll love it

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 6 and up who enjoy novelty experiences and want a short, memorable photo opportunity. The concept lands well when the house is well-maintained and the lighting cooperates. It works as a spontaneous Westfield add-on rather than a standalone destination.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Sessions last only 20 minutes — plan it as part of a broader Westfield visit
Ask the upstairs staff member to take photos for you
🎟️The experience can cause dizziness — take a moment between rooms if needed
🚗Check that props and fittings are in order when you arrive

Visited the Upside Down House at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush with my nine-year-old niece and we absolutely loved it. It was so much fun, full of laughter, and perfect for taking amazing photos. Such a creative and enjoyable experience for both kids and adults — we made lovely memories together. Highly recommend!

I booked this place for the kids specially during the summer break. We went on the weekend, and it was just us. Not that many people. I feel the upside down house concept is really great but the execution wasn't. There was not enough lighting the pictures we took were not clear. the lighting could have been better. Also the house is very small it could have been a little bigger. And the stairs too. The kids found it interesting as they were seeing something like this for the first time. It was first fascinating for us too but then when we saw our picture it was a bit of a mood off. Also the ticket pricing for the kids were same to the adults. It was a good idea but not the best experience.

The House looks tired. A general maintenance would be beneficial. We were the first ones in the morning to go in and if the staff would took 5 minutes to check if everything was in order would have made a big difference. Like shooeleece hanging, towels not fitted properly, curtain rails hanging. Clock turned upside down, ( so the opposite direction when you turn the picture you took) Picture positioned below the bathroom window. ( Like I would never put a picture there and looks odd) etc. Just a bit of love. I understand guests are touching and may move things, but a 5 minute attention to detail a few times a day ( especialy in the morning before opening) would make a huge difference.

Overview

Upside Down House features multiple fully inverted furnished rooms where families can take disorienting and amusing photos. Sessions run for 20 minutes. A staff member is available upstairs to take photos if asked. Located inside Westfield White City with pram access. Reviewers note the house shows visible wear — loose shoelaces, poorly fitted towels, hanging curtain rails — and lighting inside can be insufficient for clear photos. No advance booking needed for standard sessions.
