Vale Farm has two pools, a 107-station gym with a dedicated women's area, badminton courts and family changing cubicles. Kids swim free during school holidays. Staff conduct and cleanliness are areas of ongoing concern.

Jaycia recently joined the business as the new Finance & Admin Manager, and I can honestly say he has completely turned my opinion around regarding the way badminton courts are managed. He stepped into a role that already had several ongoing issues, and instead of avoiding them, he tackled everything head-on. He has worked incredibly hard to resolve long-standing problems properly, minimising disputes, refunds, and unsatisfactory experiences. Itโ€™s clear he genuinely cares about improving systems and making things fair for everyone involved. Jaycia has made both myself and the badminton team feel valued and truly part of the Everyone Active community. He is approachable, proactive, and most importantly, he follows through. Even when I was frustrated during calls, he remained calm, understanding, and professional throughout. The business is very lucky to have someone like Jaycia โ€” he is a real asset to the team.

โ€œI have been swimming at Vale Farm Sports Centre for months, and unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of safety, discipline, and response from management. Despite raising concerns repeatedly, nothing has improved. Special needs users are frequently left unattended in fast or medium lanes, posing serious safety risks. On 30th August, one user became so distressed that they attempted to throw a lane sign at their carer and members of staff causing a major disruption. The incident happened around the pool and other customers or childrens couldโ€™ve ended up getting hurt! This could have been avoided with proper supervision. Instead caretaker left that poor boy alone in the pool while he himself sat in the gallery room and was using a mobile! Many swimmers use the wrong lanes, walking or standing at the walls, making it almost impossible to swim properly. Lane etiquette is completely ignored, and the lifeguards do nothing to enforce it. Kids entering lanes where they shouldnโ€™t even be there as firstly they donโ€™t swim and secondly itโ€™s not safe for them to be around adult swimmers as in the past major accidents involving kids happened. Thirdly- by disobeying lane etiquette- they disrupt other customers swimming session. Lifeguards consistently ignore requests to intervene when lane rules are broken, forcing customers like me to deal with the issues directly. This isnโ€™t our job! Despite booking one-hour sessions, I can barely swim for 10-15 minutes due to these ongoing disruptions. I have complained to management several times, yet nothing has been done to enforce the rules or improve the situation. Itโ€™s incredibly frustrating to pay for a service that I cannot fully enjoy. I have visited several Everyone Active Centres in the past, but I have never encountered such filth and grime. The womenโ€™s changing area, cubicles, showers, and toilets are absolutely filthy. Puddles of water are always present because the drains are constantly blocked with hair and other debris. Iโ€™ve even found soggy crisps and sandwiches in the cubicles and showers! The shower cabins are full of hair, limescale, and general dirt. After using them, you feel dirtier than before. On a few occasions, Iโ€™ve found feces, urine, and used sanitary pads in the cubicles. The toilets are covered with shredded toilet paper, unflushed waste, and urine on the seats. The sinks are filthy, making it impossible to wash your hands properly after using the restroom. The entire womenโ€™s changing area smells so bad that it makes you gag. Many people donโ€™t shower before entering the pool; instead, they wash their sweat off in the pool water, making it cloudy and dirty. The water temperature in the pool is freezingโ€”while this might be bearable in the summer, itโ€™s intolerable during colder months. Iโ€™ve seen mothers with children leave after just a few minutes because their kids were shivering and unable to enjoy their swim. Until management addresses these issues, I cannot recommend Vale Farm Sports Centre. I sincerely hope action is taken soon because the current experience is unacceptable. People are spending their money on memberships only to receive the worst service imaginable. The only reason Iโ€™ve given a one star is due to the lack of choice of anything below that score!โ€

โ€œI hate to leave this review as iโ€™ve been coming to vale farm for 3 years now, mainly to use the sauna and womenโ€™s gym. Staff need to continue doing rigorous checks for womenโ€™s sauna sessions. Itโ€™s usually busiest between 6:15-7pm yet staff rarely check these times, if at all. Last Saturday there was at least 14 women in the steam room, plus another 10 in the sauna, plus more women near the lockers/benches. This results in people standing up as there is no space to sit, blocking the exit. Not to mention some users are incredibly rude to others, causing arguments. No space to sit as bags are everywhere as the lockers are full. Itโ€™s also needs cleaning properly, because with all the amount of people using, it gets dirty too quickly. Staff need to be firm and make sure everyone has booked. But they always give up after a few weeks of implementing wrist band checks. The door is left unlocked which allows anyone to come in regardless of booking, even men have walked past the womenโ€™s only sign and right into the sauna area where many women are not dressed modestly.โ€

โ€œRude staff in the swimming pool especially the Saturday Evening women lifeguard who thinks she can rule people like chidlren by yelling and chasing them. Absolutely unprofessional and immature member of staff that probably need a few training sessions to learn how to approach people in a nice manner. I have been to many centres and never had problems. It is really disappointing that some staff can ruined your experience by chasing and being rude at you. Lifeguard should focus more on the number of people who keep blocking the fast lane by standing in the middle or simply by checking if the ratio is correct. There were definitely more than 8 people swimming in the fast lane, which was causing a real health and safety issue. I have to say that It is definitely not a place to relax or enjoy yourself. Hopefully my complaint to Everyone Active will help to change this awful and disrespectful behaviour!โ€
