White Rose Ice Rink
π Leeds, North West
Indoor ice rink at White Rose centre in Leeds suited to first-time skaters and families with young children. Basic facilities with functional ice, and staff service is a recurring complaint.
Great visit to watch my family navigate the ice and a very brave 5 year old experienced the ice for the first time
π Family Action Verdict
Families with children aged 4β10 trying skating for the first time will find the ice well set up and the experience enjoyable with the service shortfalls. Manage expectations on staff helpfulness and ask about skating aid charges before entering β pricing information is not proactively shared.

βGreat ice skating rink, let down by terrible staff attitude. You'd have thought me asking if they had anywhere to put my jacket was putting them out somehow with a blunt 'no' - zero personality for the start of a fun event. That being said, the skating was fun and well set up. Ohhh and we found benches to put our things at the side.β

βStaff was not good enough.Overall, it was a good experience and we enjoyed it. However, for first-time skaters and children, it would be very helpful if staff could offer a short basic introduction at the start (even 5 minutes) covering safety and basic movement. Also, the childrenβs skating support aids were charged separately, which was not clearly explained in advance. It would be better if pricing and inclusions were clearer from the beginning.β

Overview
White Rose Ice Rink offers public skating sessions at a shopping centre venue in Leeds. The rink is well set up for beginners and works particularly for young children trying ice skating for the first time. Skating aids for children are available and charged separately. No dedicated coat storage β benches at the rinkside are the alternative. Staff attitude draws consistent criticism in recent reviews.
