π Market Drayton, North West
Family-run miniature railway winding through beautifully maintained gardens and a plant nursery. Children can help set the points and learn about engine history from the passionate owners.
Very much a hidden gem. Should be shouted from the rooftops, what is fantastic place this is. Tell your family, tell your friends to come on a visit, I guarantee youβll love it.
π Family Action Verdict
A standout pick for train-loving children of any age, especially those experiencing a miniature railway for the first time. The hands-on involvement β setting points, learning about the engines β gives it a depth that commercial railways rarely match. Passionate owners make every visit feel personal and unhurried.

Highly recommend. Would be also nice having a tea room on the premises.β

Overview
Woodseaves Miniature Railway runs through scenic garden and plant nursery grounds, with riders able to help operate trackside points during the journey. The owners share detailed knowledge of each engine's origins and workings throughout the ride. The nursery stocks roses and perennials, making a combined plant-and-train visit easy. Located near the Shropshire Union Canal for a fuller day out in the area.
