1 / 2Worden Parkway Miniature Railway Station
đ Leyland, North West
Leyland Society of Model Engineers runs multiple gauge tracks at Worden Park on Sundays, Bank Holidays, and Lancashire school holiday Tuesdays. Wheelchair-accessible carriages available, dogs ride free.
Lovely little train for not only little people :) Run by volunteers every Sunday between 11 and 2 and sometimes longer if the weather is nice or on half term. Any donation is very welcome and you can pay even by card. We are almost every Sunday there with our 2 babies and a dog and all going on the train. Amazing experience. Kids love it đ
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age â including babies in prams â who want a free, unhurried Sunday outing in a park setting. Dog owners can bring the whole family without leaving anyone behind. The passion of the volunteer crew is visible in every handbuilt locomotive.

âOur first visit to the park, my daughter has recently moved to Leyland. Out for a walk and noticed this cute little railway. Had to drag my husband on for a wee ride. Great for kids but as an adult I enjoyed it. You can see the passion in the volunteers that run this. Such good value too.â

âGreat for dog walks, in all seasons. Brooks and woods to walk dogs in hot weather. Walk to the opposite side to the park, by the maze.â
