βAlkrington Woods Nature Reserve is a peaceful green space in Middleton that offers a pleasant escape for walkers and nature lovers. The woodland is well-maintained with clear paths and diverse wildlife. It can get muddy after rain, but the river crossing adds a nice feature. Itβs a good spot for dog walking or a quiet stroll, though parking is limited nearby. Overall, itβs a solid place to enjoy nature without leaving the city.β

βI've been visiting this place for many years and it's always beautiful no matter the season. You can walk, run, or walk your dog here. In Spring you can sometimes find baby birds. During Summer you can often see huge dragon flies buzzing around. In Winter the frost and ice is just amazing to see in the morning. It's well maintained so usually no litter on the ground.β
