1 / 2Castle Vale Meadows
📍 Birmingham, West Midlands
A Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust reserve featuring species-rich wildflower meadows, community allotment plots, and open walking paths. Deer sightings reported. Dog-friendly throughout.
Lovely place to take a walk around, can either go with friends or family or take the dog for a nice walk. You can also cut through the field which has been nicely mowed. You can here the birds chirping away and on a good day you might see some horses. They are very friendly and love a good petting. They also have a path which you can follow if you don't feel like crossing the field. The path leads you around in the full circle. Its very lovely once the flowers start to come out.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who enjoy unhurried nature walks, wildlife spotting, and connecting with a community green space rather than structured play. Children who respond to open exploration — looking for birds, spotting deer, or visiting allotment holders — will get the most from a visit.
