📍 Chew Magna, South West
Interactive animal park where entry includes a bag of feed for goats and deer, barn holding sessions timed on your entry sticker, and optional special experiences including fox encounters. Pizza restaurant and picnic areas on site.
We went to the Pygmy Goat and Prosecco evening on 26th Feb 2026. Have been before and it's always just the most lovely night. From the moment you arrive, the fantastic staff in the bar are so welcoming and friendly. The animal handlers on the night were just so special and knew all about each goat and their babies. The goats were clearly very well loved and happy to have us there. The baby goats (kids) were super happy, confident and cuddly and were not forced to do anything they didn't want to. They were skipping and jumping and having the best time. Some snuggled in and fell asleep. So cute. I can't recommend the park enough. After being with the kids, we had the opportunity to go and sit with the adults and feed them. So funny, they were climbing over people and wanted scratches, great time! Afterwards, we were offered an opportunity to cuddle with rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats who were all very well cared for and happy with human contact. There were donkeys and a very pregnant pig in the barn too. Can't wait for the piglets to arrive now. It is clear that the animals and humans love each other very much which was a joy to see. Then came the food and drink. After a big hand wash, the bar area was warm and inviting and very clean with again, the lovely staff. We had a glass of prosecco and a huge yummy pizza and burger. Thank you again CVAP for another wonderful visit. See you soon.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want to touch, feed, and learn about animals rather than observe from a distance. Children of all ages engage with the hands-on feeding sessions, and the fox experience is genuinely memorable. The site uses gravel paths throughout — families with prams should be prepared for that terrain.

“A lovely place to visit with or without children. It was the 1st time for me and my niece we went on the weekend of the Christmas market and just absolutely loved it. The stalls had things that was all homemade and everyone was so friendly and chatty. They had so much to choose from and it wasn't the ' usual ' brickaback we ended up buying lots of goodies ☺️.. Then the animals,, wow, they have snow foxes, raccoons, skunk which was out having a walk with a keeper so funny seeing it on a lead, red foxes, owls, storks, tiny goats, so so many more to look at , it was lovely, after we went into the restaurant and it was lovely warm and very cosy. The log fire was on ,decorations up . We enjoyed having a cup of mulled wine by the fire. What a magical lovely place to visit everyone so friendly definitely will be visiting again and to have a meal next time”

“Great little animal park with some different animals. You can go into goat field . Children can hold animals in the barn at times stated on your sticker you get when you pay. Good gift shop. Clean and tidy loos and lots of hand washing stations to use after touching animals. Mainly gravel paths so bit hard with a wheelchair but grass areas and at top by kookaburras a tarmac path . Kids loved it, nice play area and lots of picnic tables . No extras once your in apart from if you want to buy food and drink. We took a picnic and sat at tables with umbrellas as had few showers while we were there. You can buy animal food to feed goats and deer when you buy your ticket.”

“We visited here on Sunday the 15th of Febuary and I cannot recommend this wonderful place enough. The animals are adorable and well taken care of. We booked a fox experience and this will stay with us forever, special shoutout to Paul who made it so engaging and was so knowledgeable as well. We took part in a meet and greet in the barn as well which was really exciting, especially for those with young family members. Staff everywhere were lovely, would recommend to any animal lover and families. Food was exceptional as well, a lovely roast at a fair price.”
