1 / 3Clumber Park Discovery Centre
đ Worksop, North West
National Trust park near Worksop with 13 miles of tarmac paths including a 5-mile lake circuit, cycle hire, historic chapel, dog-friendly cafe, and Discovery Centre. Membership required for free parking.
Usually we only need one membership card to obtain free parking. Here all passengers have to be members. Just to walk around a park. We are joint members so no problems for us. However keep it in mind if you are thinking of using just 1 membership card for parking. Now the river turn into a lake here is amazing. Good walkways nice and flat. Saw some motor wheelchairs completing the whole 5 mile pond circuit. However I wouldn't want to push a wheelchair around it. Path ways are mainly made of small stones. The complete circuit around lake is nearly 12000 steps on counter. So enjoy your exercise in this lovely park.hope
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for active families with older children who can manage a 5-mile circuit walk, and particularly suited to families with dogs. The lake scenery is genuinely impressive and the cycling routes add variety for children who tire of walking. Pushchair users will find the stone lakeside paths challenging.

âSpent a great family afternoon at Clumber Park. Took the dog and the grandchildren, walked 10K, then watched them all fall asleep in the car on the way home. Really beautiful sights and scenery, peaceful and quiet, great fun had by all. Even better, the cream tea at the visitor centreâ

âGreat place to visit for the outdoors. Beautiful lake with plenty of walking/cycling routes. Slightly busier than normal but thats kind of to be expected considering. Not many places to sit at the moment but theres plenty of grass.â

âThe place is stunning so I have to give 5 stars, however, the food was far too expensive so next time I'll bring a picnic!â
