1 / 2Cockfield's Farm Park
π Ashton-under-Lyne, North West
Working farm park with rare breed animals, go-karts, tractor rides, and seasonal events including lambing, circus shows, and character meet-and-greets. All main activities included in admission. Pram-accessible with free parking.
We had a fabulous time. We have been every year now and can see lots of great change. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. My 10yrs old loved the go carts. They are brilliant for older children and adults at no extra cost. We did feel Β£2.50 was expensive for a small pot of food compared to other farms. We loved seeing all the baby animals and we were so lucky to hold a rat. The staff member offered to get it out which made my little boys day. The staff member was so friendly and calm during the holding. We will be back again for sure.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children from toddlers up to 10+ who want hands-on time with well-cared-for animals at a predictable total cost. The all-inclusive admission removes the drip-feed of extra charges found at comparable farms. Staff consistently go beyond their roles β expect guided animal encounters rather than static displays.

βMy children and I had a fabulous visit to cockfields today (20/02/26) my little boy (2.5yrs) attempted to give Santa his dummy at Xmas however it failed so today we took a trip up to the farm and gifted Penny the lamb the dummy instead! So far so good! The children had a great time feeding the animals, holding/stroking some and playing on all the extras! The food was also lovely in the cafe and the staff were brilliant!! Cannot wait to revisit in summer π₯°β

βFantastic trip today, even in the snow and rain with a troublesome 2 year old there was still plenty to do. Staff were so lovely from the lady on reception to one of the maintenance men fixing a pipe, everyone was so friendly which made the day that much more enjoyable. Great selection of talks and feeds times with all the different animals and lovely little arts and crafts activities. Overall brilliant day out, will be coming here again soon!β

βWeβve been visiting Cockfields since our son was born a couple of years ago, every visit has been amazing. The animals look very happy and well looked after, enclosures are clean, staff are always very helpful and friendly and they care about the animals they look after. Thereβs always a lot to do for every age group too, we will absolutely be visiting again. We would rate higher than 5 if we could!β

Overview
Cockfield's Farm Park combines hands-on animal encounters with go-karts and tractor rides in a single admission price. Staff lead animal holding sessions and feeding talks throughout the day. Seasonal events span World Book Day scavenger hunts, lambing experiences, and themed festivals. Indoor and covered areas keep the programme running in poor weather, including snow.
