π London, Greater London
School leisure centre in South East London offering a 25-metre pool, Swim England pathway lessons with good child-to-teacher ratios, fitness gym, sports hall, tennis courts, astro turf, and over 30 weekly exercise classes.
This review covers swimming lessons, the facilities and staff. I'm really enjoying this 25m pool, which is never too busy. I got a membership for myself and my children - that allows you to go to the pool/ gym as often as you want. It's very affordable. There's also a small gym and exercise classes with Yoga starting from Β£3 a lesson. The staff are friendly and flexible. I was once accidentally overcharged (which was partly my fault) and they sorted it out within minutes and without a fuss (another leisure centre in the area took 9 months to give me a refund). Cleanliness is better than in other leisure centres, but could be improved. The weekly swimming lessons are affordable and great (30 min) and you get a discount as a member. We also did some intensive swimming lessons here (45 min), which were excellent. One of my children was at the wrong level (my fault) and again, that was sorted out very smoothly. The progress children make is above average. A big compliment to the centre, so good to have this place.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking affordable Swim England-accredited swimming lessons in a pool that stays uncrowded. The poolside viewing setup is particularly good for parents watching younger swimmers. A monthly membership covering both pool and gym makes it strong value for families who swim regularly.

βDaughter had to move to a bigger pool for her swimming lessons, pool 25 m I get here in the morning so the parking is empty but is smallish so. Much better pool to her old one as you can sit on pool side to watch the lessons, there is plenty of space for all parents and is walled off from the pool side. The pool has 6 diving platforms and lifeguard as well as the teachers. There a gym next door to the pool but haven't been in but is used frequently.β

βIt has now been 5 months since my 8 years old started swimming lessons at Colfeβs ! I remember the first lesson, my son was terrified to go in the water but the teacher reassured him and he loved it ever since! My son has now moved to 3 levels and his swimming skills rapidly progressed. I am so proud of him but also super grateful to the level of care Tabitha has. I can only recommend!β

Overview
Colfe's Leisure Centre operates a 25-metre pool following the Swim England Learn to Swim pathway with small class sizes. Parents can sit poolside with clear sightlines during children's lessons. The centre's gym covers weights and cardio, and weekly classes include yoga, pilates, spin, and HIIT. Monthly memberships cover pool and gym access. Parking on site is small β arriving early is recommended. Teaching quality has varied with cover instructors according to some reviewers.
