Great athletics track, perfect for hosting events. There are lots of facilities including soft play, a gym, as well as an indoor track. The track is very well maintained and not crumbly like others, it's six lanes instead of eight. There's also a cafe but the price of one can of coke is like double compared to a corner shop.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for drop-in visits combining athletics, climbing, and soft play across a single session. The athletics track is a genuine standout — well-maintained and rarely this accessible in London.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Drop-in visits to the athletics track work without advance booking on most days
⏰Supervise children closely in the soft play area — carpet padding is thin in places
đŸŽŸī¸Staff at the Clip n Climb section may need prompting to start activities on time
🚗The cafe sells drinks and snacks at above-average prices — bring your own for longer visits

“The place is nice and clean as this is a brand new venue. The food was basic for the price. The Soft Play was really nice but with few weak points in safety, quality and lack of thought on some that could be dangerous spots that they must review and change urgently. The carpet is extremely thin and it does not offer a safety. If your child bounces his/her head against the carpet is like bouncing against the floor. You expect better life to go for a safe carpet rather than cheap green substitute. The main gate was always open and even dough the staff was nice friendly and they are doing a great job, nobody was at the gate and children can go easily out of the premises if parents fail to supervise their children. The process management created or in place does not offer security and the place will always blame parents for the supervision. The safety and security and the staff is allocated at the different climbing walls which are fantastic TOP 10. But I will recommend BETTER LIFE not to neglect the soft play and have staff around and focus on whatever is need. PLEASE CHANGE THE GREEN CARPET. The skate park is really nice too and the staff really friendly.”

“Here's our experience, outline: Gym - Sutcliffe park- We want to hire their gymnastics hall for our sons 3rd birthday. We booked this with them over a month ago, and now out party is this Sunday. We have many kids with allergies (including our son), from the first attempt at contacting them this became difficult, couldn't call them, emailed multiple times, nothing. So I had to go in, they apologised and didn't know how they could have missed our email. They also said they would email back right away. They then emailed back 2 days later and not really providing all the info we needed, but fine, we could wait a couple of weeks when we know more about how many kids we'll have at the party. 2nd attempt at a query now that we have numbers, etc. No response, multiple emails later after a week of trying to contact them, finally a response. And they couldn't confirm a bunch of stuff we needed to know. 3rd attempt at contacting, no response. after several days I go in again, complain, get advised I need to pay for the food, which we already paid for, get told the manager will be in later that day (the tuesday before the party (sunday)) advised we'll get a call that day to confirm the food. No call. No email. Now we're 3 days away from the party and we still don't know what they can do about the allergies. . . . awful communication. Do not book your kids parties with this company, they do not care about your kids allergies. It wouldn't be so bad if they allowed you to bring your own food, but they don't, so you'd think they'd be even remotely considerate and respond back regarding potential food situations that could kill children.”

“Clip and Climb On occasion you can find a very "happy to be here/shall we get started" person - but this was not my experience I think staff training was limited to: "Computer says No!" Run by Council hires - staff should not consist of family members or relatives.. this seems to be a current hiring criteria.. on top of it - Kids friendly training element is missing.. Arrived with a slight delay - child little uneasy after bus ride.. once I asked if we can join, staff decided to walk around for 10 mins while chatting to each other about having a free staff member to watch 3mins video with my child (pre climbing). Decided they had noone free. 60+ mins lost The other day we arrived on time.. to be told to wait 10 mins for mandatory climbing video which is 3 mins long. 90 mins session is 30 mins waiting to hear GO! Private locations are more flexible and little easier to talk to aka o2 clip and climb.”
