As a scout leader this site has great facilities (may I even say the cleanest camp toilets I've used). We took 25 scouts and explorers on a weekend camp they loved every minute. The on-site activities we participated in are: adventure course, low ropes, laser tag and grass sledding. Both kids and leaders enjoyed and was a lot of fun. Great selection in the shop for the kids. You can tell that everyone volunteering there take great pride in the site and everything they are achieving and that gives it such a great atmosphere. Couldn't recommend it enough to another unit or even personally with family or a group of friends

“We had an unbelievable time camping at Downe Activity Centre for their “family camping weekend”. The site was beautiful and we got to have a go on some brilliant activities such as tomahawks and archery. I was taught how to use a bow by an archery instructor who was very helpful and friendly. During my stay we saw many families of deer roaming freely which was incredible and immersed me in the experience! The toilets were clean and the volunteers are very welcoming and helpful. I cannot recommend Downe Activity Centre enough. It’s perfect for families and couples and we will definitely be back!!!”

“Had a family camping trip at Downe. A lovely site with forests to explore. A great team are running the site with all kinds of activities book. We tried the archery, go karting and axe throwing. Highly recommended.”

“Went to Downe last night for their bonfire evening. Great fun with lots of laughter. Very well organised and it was great to see the community atmosphere. Would definitely go to another event soon”
