Foal Farm is a wonderful rescue centre, you can tell they really care about the animals and when we came to them last year looking to adopt a dog they took a lot of time to make sure we would be the perfect fit for each other. We left with George and he is absolutely wonderful, we're so lucky to have him. He loves his ball throwing and he comes in to remind us of his walk times in the morning, on our lunch break, and when we finish work. He enjoys lying on all the soft things in our home and disemboweling his toys.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want a meaningful, unhurried visit where the welfare of real rescued animals is the focus rather than performance or spectacle. All ages engage well here, and the charity shop and tearoom extend the visit naturally. Rainy days limit outdoor animal viewing significantly β€” clear weather is strongly recommended for first visits.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Visit on a dry day β€” most animals shelter during rain and outdoor viewing is restricted
⏰Allow two to three hours to explore all enclosures, the charity shop, and the tearoom
🎟️The charity shop stocks pet supplies and gifts β€” a practical stop for pet-owning families
πŸš—Seasonal events including Christmas Santa experiences are ticketed β€” check the website for dates

Your details go only to the venue you’re contacting, so they can reply β€” we never sell them or share them with anyone else. By sending an enquiry you agree to our Privacy Policy.

β€œWe took our dog to see santa πŸŽ…, it's the first time I've been to Foal farm and it's a delightful farm with lovely kind staff, the event was busy with lots of friendly people and lovable dogs, it was a lovely afternoon despite the cold weather and it got us in the mood for Christmas πŸŽ„β€

β€œLovely place. Animals are well cared for. You can see that the animals are the focus of the business rather than simply an attraction for visitors. Lovely tea room and seating area out back too.”
