1 / 2Fort Douglas Adventure Park
π Scotland
Dalkeith Country Park hosts Fort Douglas, with climbing structures, slides, flying fox, and dedicated under-5s zones. Birthday packages include private Bothy hire and zorbing sessions. Toddler-friendly with pram access and cafe on-site.
We visited the place twice last month and itβs just amazingβ¦ my baby just loved it β€οΈ it was just a delightful treat for him. Luckily when we visited it was good weather.. sunny not much windy .. they have a lot of options for kids.. swings, slides wee castles and then slides options in. Flying fox, jumping options, wee sand play with tractor rides in it and a lot more. It was a perfect date for my wee one β€οΈ .. also they have option for birthday parties and a lot more options of events to attend occasionally. Most importantly they have separate play places for upto 5 and then other one for 5+. And who doesnβt wander ice cream after play π«£ they have a wee ice cream place inside park with other options and candy floss cabin as well.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2-12 who can roam between dedicated play zones. Toddlers thrive in the under-5s area; kids up to 10 stay fully engaged across the larger structures. Teens and older children may tire faster, so pair with the country park walks to extend the visit. Sunny days unlock the full experience.
