Historic 25-yard Victorian pool with sauna, steam room, gym, and on-site cafe. Separate casual and lane swimming sessions. Toddler-friendly with private changing cabins adjacent to the pool.
Friendly staff & very clean swimming pool. I recommend checking a timetable before going as they offer both casual and line swimming. There are lockers for everyone (Β£1 needed), private showers, and very good hairdryers. Edinburgh Leisure | Swimming Pool
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a genuinely characterful swim in a historic setting. The Victorian pool hall and natural light make every visit memorable. Toddlers are welcome. Check the timetable before going β casual and lane sessions run at different times, and weekday mornings are quieter than weekends.

βLucky find as was hoping to swim while visiting the city. Fortunately in the morning the pool was not too busy. Added the sauna option. Easy to change in cabins adjacent to the pool. The Victorian pool hall was a treat to swim in given the many windows allowing light to pour in.β

βMy local leisure centre. Hardworking friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always on hand to help. Special shout out to the great gym staff Gary, Julie and Craig πͺ. The gym is pretty small but has 2 rooms - 1 for free weights, the other for weights and fitness machines. The pool is roughly 20metres and is a lovely Victorian style with a sauna and steam room - very nice place to be. Unfortunately being Stockbridge you do get the loud obnoxious types - even though this is a council facility. Marked down because the male shower area beside the pool is in pretty poor condition with lots of green and black mould marks and showers work infrequently- fix this and itβs a 5/5β

βThe man bun wearing front staff could not be less engaging with his crossed arms answering my question, I clearly inconvenienced his leisurely sit down. Does Edinburgh Leisure offer customer skill training? Love the venue though, and more mature staff members are brilliant.β
