1 / 2Haigh High Ropes Adventure
π Wigan, North West
Outdoor adventure park in Wigan featuring low ropes (9 obstacles) for younger children and high ropes (11 obstacles) with a 40-metre zip wire. Staff are widely praised for supporting nervous and anxious children, including those with autism.
My two grandsons went on the high ropes Saturday 28th September. Unfortunately one of them froze at the first zip wire. The staff couldnβt have done more to encourage him to make the leap. They were so patient & friendly. He was βrescuedβ & one of the instructors took him to the end of the course to do some zip lining there on a smaller scale & gave him another chance to try again. Unfortunately he still didnβt do it but not for the want of trying by the instructors. We were on the last session & Iβm sure they wanted to pack up & go home but they never showed this & were professional, patient & friendly till the end.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 6 and up who want a genuine physical challenge in a woodland setting. Instructors are trained to work with nervous children and those with autism β multiple reviewers report anxious kids completing courses they initially froze on. Pre-booking is recommended, and quieter sessions reduce waiting on busy circuits.

βFantastic experience for two of my sons, one who has autism and was apprehensive but wanted to go on the low ropes. The staff were great with him and helped and encouraged him around the course, first time he was very nervous but the second time he flew round. My other son went on the high ropes and loved it especially the zip wire part. We will definitely be going back soon!! Thankyou πβ

βThe experience for my son was great! He didn't actually complete the course, but the staff were amazing in encouraging him and allowing to do the low ropes instead. They even let him try the high ropes again after that. There was no rushing him and he came away still feeling good about the experience. Would highly recommend.β

βGreat experience and reasonably priced. Our 6 year old loved it and the instructors were very good. Definitely worth pre booking.β
