Adventure Play
đ Wigan, North West
Free outdoor adventure playground at Haigh Woodland Park featuring zip wires, climbing frames, rope bridges, large slides, and a sandpit with diggers. Miniature railway rides and woodland den-building nearby.
Great place to take the grandchildren! Plenty of play areas for all ages. Excellent cafe and ice cream shops, but can get busy in school holidays. Crazy golf is well maintained and can pass an hour of fun. The woods are great for making dens! Car park can get full and have to park on grass area which can be tricky after rain.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3 to 12 who want an extended outdoor day with structured play and natural exploration. The combination of adventure playground, woodland, and miniature railway means different-aged siblings can each find their level.

âAfter having to queue for a short time to get onto the carpark we enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon with our 5 year old grandson. Had a mini train ride around the woods for only ÂŖ1, enjoyed the atmosphere and activities. Well worth a visit.â

âHaigh hall high ropes my son loves going on them, I would recommend wearing gloves though as he says if he doesn't it hurts his handsâ
