A great afternoon paddle boarding here today. The staff were great, unfortunately we were in the middle of the lake when an unexpected storm started. The staff were brilliant coming out in the speed boat to get us all off the water quickly and safely. They then let us wait for the storm to pass before we went back on the water. Fabulous views all around the lake and nice clear water with no weeds to paddle in. Our first time here and will def be back and recommend to others. Many thanks to the staff who were so helpful and friendly and made us feel safe out on the water. We will be back soon hopefully on a lovely calm sunny day!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with older children and teens seeking open-water activity rather than pool-based alternatives. Staff are genuinely safety-focused — one review recounts them deploying a speedboat mid-session during an unexpected storm to retrieve paddleboarders. Calmer weather days deliver the best experience.

“I love this activity centre! I visited it frequently during the summer to do paddleboarding and will be coming back for more when the cold months pass! They have a range of activities to pick from and decently priced and the lake is beautiful as well - When the wind was a bit strong they even took us by boat to a quieter part of the lake so that we could still paddleboard and stay safe! They are so welcoming and friendly and this was our favourite thing to do in the summer due to how warm they were towards us. Me and my sisters will be back again!!”

“We did a last minute booking for paddle boarding and had the most blissful time out on the water. A few minor delays while the previous users came in but more than worth the wait. Staff were incredibly busy but highly supportive and how they kept smiling despite all the demands on them was astonishing! The kit was well maintained and the chance to spend tranquil time on the water for some mum and daughter time was worth its weight in gold”
