“Last Saturday, I celebrated my daughter’s birthday here with her friends and was extremely satisfied with the experience. We were in the VIP area, which was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I would especially like to mention Bracken, who was extremely attentive at all times and always happy to help whenever we needed anything. She made sure everything ran smoothly. The children had an amazing time. The children’s menus were very generous, with plenty of variety, and the food was served hot. The food for the adults was also of great quality, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend this place for children’s birthday parties and for spending quality time with the family, even when it’s not a special occasion.”

“Highly recommend!! Fantastic time for your family, with kids or without! Clean, their combos for 15 and 24£ are awesome! Check those out. Food is definitely delicious enough to be happy while playing. We did bowling and we picked VIP lane. Secluded, quieter, clean and organized. Staff is friendly and diverse. Orders took not much time to be delivered which was a big plus. Make sure to get salsa with your combos, IMO. It’s also delicious. P.S. In the unlikely event, if your lane gets “stuck” and the screen lights up flashing red saying engineer is being called, just try moving the some bowling balls close to you on the rack, those that just got out from the hole, from which they normally appear back. That’s all it was in our case.”

“I visited the premises yesterday with my friend and two children as a suprise night out paid for by myself. When arriving at the counter there was a young lady serving who had told the children to use the machine to get credit on cards that they cldnt work out and did not offer to help them. I went to the counter asked for cards she rolled her eyes at me and rudely said I will show you, which then she cldnt do and we had to go back to desk and someone had to help her. The service received was not professional and dam right rude when I am a 50 odd year old woman and having eyes rolled at me by a young adult. I am not an argumentative or rude person myself and did not say anything to her, I wldnt have bothered to let you know but as this email has come through for feedback I am letting you know. My experience at the bar I was told there no milkshakes by a young lady and when I asked a young man also severing he said yes that's fine, again it's the can't be bothered attitude that people want to earn money but can't be bothered to be polite and curtisious to people and do the job they are paid to do. I would like to believe that you are not training people in this way and tbh I was very put off by this both situations that occured. As a group of four we managed to spend just under £100.00 with you in 2 hours and tbh I will think twice again before returning to the Lakeside venue due to the customer service given and unhelpful attitude by staff members. I understand this is not the fault of the employer although maybe there should be spot checks by unknown members of the public to receive truthfully feedback as I have given. I apologise this isn't positive feedback but if I ran a chain of companies I would want to know. Needless to say the children enjoyed the evening. “I visited Hollywood Bowl with a group of 8 family members and friends and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Before booking, I asked a member of staff what the best deal would be for a large group. I was advised that the “2 games and a drink” package at £10 per person was the best option. I had difficulty booking online, so the staff member assisted me. Despite this, I was charged £150 instead of the expected £80 for 8 people. I was then told drinks were not included and had to pay an additional £60. Even staff acknowledged that the total didn’t seem right for the deal I intended to book. When I raised the issue on the day, I was told that because the booking was made online, nothing could be done at venue level. A manager refused to come and speak to me directly and advised me to contact customer support. After completing the customer survey, I received a call back from the team. I was informed that there was nothing they could do because staff had “double-checked” the booking at the time — regardless of whether the advice given was incorrect. Essentially, I was told that even if the deal was misunderstood or misapplied, the overpayment remains my responsibility. This is extremely frustrating, especially when I relied on staff guidance and even booked with their assistance. Customers who are not fully confident with online systems could easily end up overpaying in similar situations. Very disappointing handling of what should have been a simple pricing issue.”
