1 / 3Hover Force Activity Centre
π Frodsham, North West
Thirty-acre outdoor adventure centre near Frodsham with hovercraft racing, off-road karting, buggies, archery, axe throwing, crossbows, and shooting ranges. Run by ex-military instructors.
Brilliant. We did dirt karting and hovercrafting (my personal fave). The staff were lively and patient and the place accommodated all group sizes as well maximising safety with only ever small numbers on the activities at once. Liam took us through karting which was great fun. And Owen and tom did a great job in helping us novices with hovercraft. Couldnβt have enjoyed it more. Almost making the top 10. We travelled 70 mins to get there and would do it again. Great birthday treat
π Family Action Verdict
Best for adventure-seeking families with older children who want a genuinely rare experience rather than a polished theme park visit. The hovercraft circuit is the standout β reviewers with wide activity backgrounds single it out as something they have never encountered elsewhere.

βIncredible! Flying a Hovercraft on your own or kids with an instructor, this is a very rare experience - here you can book it - besides other cool activities. The place to be for a men's trip, we can simply recommend it. There is also a small kiosk where you can buy snacks and tea - but important is the stuff you can do. Thanks a lot - we will come back!β

βCan't recommend enough, we went yesterday. My daughter did the shooting and hover craft. What a perfect way to spend a school holiday she absolutely loved it. The team were lovely if I recall correctly Al and Pete thank you both. Just wish it wasnt so expensive otherwise I recon she'd be wanting to go atleast once a week π thanks againβ

βGreat fun, brilliant staff β but a lot of waiting around. I feel a bit conflicted writing this review. We came as a group of seven lads on a stag weekend β weβve pretty much done every activity you can think of: buggies, shooting, quads, dirt bikes, zip wires, clay pigeon, you name it. The only thing we hadnβt tried (short of a skydive) was a hovercraft, which is why we chose this venue. Thereβs a lot to like here β and one main drawback. Let me explain. First off, the venue: itβs remote, and thatβs a good thing. It looks exactly how it should β a bit rough, outdoorsy, muddy, and temporary. Perfect for this kind of activity. Great location, great setup. We did the hovercrafts, and while they were amazing to drive, the description didnβt quite match the experience. You donβt actually spend that much time driving β most of it is watching your mates have a go or listening to instructions. That said, the staff were absolutely fantastic β friendly, funny, and totally got the vibe of our group. They gave great tips and made the experience really enjoyable. The hovercrafts themselves were brilliant, and despite the short run time, it was good value overall. Youβre paying for something unique, and for what we spent (about the cost of a decent meal), it was definitely worth it. Just be mindful that the βtime slotβ includes setup, safety, and waiting β not just time on the machine. We also tried the buggies, and again, loads of fun but too much standing around. We should have booked the multi-buggy track experience rather than the two-at-a-time version β that oneβs on us. Very likely to be back but would probably contact the manager and say this is what we want to do, advise us how to do it. And probably break into smaller groups and rotate around more activities or something like that. A great venue, just need to speed up on the waiting around. In summary: would we book again? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. Biggest negative? Probably a 10:1 ratio of waiting to doing. But when you are doing β itβs fantastic. 13 million views and counting.β

Overview
The hovercraft circuit runs across marshy terrain β riders complete multiple laps under instructor supervision before solo attempts. Off-road karts, buggies, and a target sports complex occupy separate zones across the 30-acre site. Instructors are ex-military and manage safety rigorously with small group rotations. A kiosk sells snacks and hot drinks on-site. Birthday and group packages can be tailored across multiple activity zones.
