A popular park, deservedly so. Well kept with very varied areas. We love the woodland walk, the bird song was beautiful. The pond area is lovely, we sat there having a take away coffee, listening and watching the water birds. So much to enjoy. Two childrens'areas, very popular. Lots of seasonal flowers, starting with carpets of snow drops, followed by crocus, daffodils etc. Our only regret is that what used to be called 'The T.V. garden" is not open to the public.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Families looking for a relaxed multi-hour park visit rather than a single attraction get the most here. The combination of active play, quiet woodland, and wildlife watching suits a wide age range from toddlers to grandparents. Two separate play areas mean younger and older children can head to different spots.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Two car parks on-site — arrive early with a larger vehicle as spaces are tight
⏰Bring a takeaway drink and sit by the pond to watch the water birds
đŸŽŸī¸Visit in spring for snowdrops, daffodils, and flowering trees across the grounds
🚗Flat paths throughout make it fully navigable with a pushchair or wheelchair

“I love this beautiful park, with it's elegant Victorian tea rooms, equally historic mulberry bush and beautiful selection of trees. You can even buy organic veg which is grown here. I've spent many a summer's day here, regenerating, usually near the tennis courts and the bowling green...”

“Very nice park which is well maintained and tidy. Park has access to a garden centre which is a lovely touch and also has toilet facilities on site too, which is always a plus! Park is flat and has a clear path so is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs which again is a massive positive. Overall a lovely park which is worth a look if you are in the area. The only downside is car parks are small. The park has two, which is excellent but both are narrow and if driving a moderately sized vehicle, you may find it a bit fiddly to get in and out! Just something to keep in mind.”

Overview

Kings Heath Park covers extensive Victorian-era grounds with two dedicated play areas, a shaded woodland trail alive with birdsong, and a pond where families can sit and watch water birds. The park connects to an adjacent garden centre selling organic produce grown on-site. Flat, clear paths make the whole site accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Seasonal planting brings snowdrops, daffodils, and flowering trees across spring. A small cafe and ice cream kiosk sit on-site.
