Kingswood Leisure Centre
π Staple Hill, South West
Kingswood Leisure Centre has a 25m main pool with diving boards at 1m, 3m and 5m heights, a separate teaching pool, and the Coral Cove soft play area on the ground floor. Swim England-accredited lessons available.
Have only used the main pool a few times recently. All good except for the showers. The water pressure has been consistently awful. This makes it difficult to rinse off even a small amount of shampoo on very short hair. Staff very pleasant.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who want to combine swimming with diving practice β the timed diving sessions are a genuine draw and rarely overcrowded on weekday visits. Toddlers get plenty from Coral Cove. Families with children who are sensitive to heat should dress them lightly for soft play.

βDecent place. As decent as the one in the city. It has a diving board too. Spacious changing areas. Large pool. It has a nice timetable for booking different types of swims.β

βWe decided to visit Kingswood leisure centre on a Sunday afternoon for the diving board session. It's really cheap for a great afternoon indoor swimming and it's never too busy. On this visit only the 1 and 3 meter boards were open, but that didn't dampen our spirits and off we went for some diving fun. You can feel relaxed as lifeguards are always on duty and the diving area is sectioned off to prevent wayward swimmers. There is good access for wheelchair users and there is a nice viewing area for spectators. There are also plenty of vending machines for refreshments.β

βLovely leisure centre. I was there with my daughter for a birthday party in the soft play. The soft play is on the ground floor of the centre and can get extremely hot. The big downside was parking. There is a car park available but on a Saturday with many clubs happening including football on the exterior field parking is non existent.β

Overview
The 25m main pool hosts public diving sessions on set timetables, with 1m and 3m boards regularly open and 5m available on selected sessions. A dedicated teaching pool runs Swim England-accredited learn-to-swim programmes for all ages. Coral Cove soft play sits on the ground floor and can get very warm on busy days. The wider centre includes a gym, badminton courts, and birthday party packages. Free parking is on-site and fills fast when football clubs are active on weekends.
