1 / 3Lagoona Park
π Reading, Greater London
Outdoor watersports venue near Reading with an inflatable aqua park featuring slides, ramps, and trampolines on a lake. Paddleboarding and pedalos also available. All participants must swim 25 metres unaided. Under-8s need adult supervision.
My son had a fantastic time today at Lagoona Park. He had lots of fun on the floats. The lifeguards and other staff were very friendly. The place was very clean. There were lots of sitting areas for customers. Wonderful place. We spent the afternoon sitting outside with our picnic. We had a fabulous time.
π Family Action Verdict
Best matched to families with older children and teenagers who can swim confidently. The 25-metre swim requirement is enforced, so younger or less confident swimmers cannot access the inflatable park. Lifeguards and staff are friendly and attentive. The tropical lakeside setting is a genuine draw on a hot day.

βThe kids had an absolute blast great location and staff. Better to wear beach shoes or grippy socks though. You can buy these there and you will need a padlock for the lockers you can buy these for Β£4. Well recommend trying here for kids and teenagers.β

βIt's a waterpark - which looks fun - but also a venue with a tropical vibe suitable for a large wedding or, in our case, wake. A good-sized indoor marquee-style dining room (pictured) and larger outdoor area with picnic tables and parasols.β

βWe had a nice day at Lagoona Park overall, but there were a few things worth noting for future visitors. The lake itself looks clean and well-kept, with the blue dye in the water (used to help kill weeds etc.), which gave it a bright, inviting appearance. The mini beach area is a lovely touch β part of the lake is cordoned off to create a little beach thatβs great for both kids and adults to paddle and relax. The stone car park is a good size, but it does fill up quickly, so arrive early if you want a decent spot. Unfortunately, the site overall didnβt feel very disabled- or pushchair-friendly. There are a lot of steps, and I struggled quite a bit with my twin pushchair. The cafΓ© is located up a flight of stairs, so I couldnβt access it with the buggy. That said, there is a nice snack shack that overlooks the lake, with picnic benches and sun umbrellas providing shade β which was a great spot to relax. I only realized after leaving that thereβs actually disabled parking right at the entrance to Lagoona Park and a wooden gate that leads directly to the picnic area by the lake. Had I known, I wouldβve used that instead of struggling with the steps. It really could be signposted much more clearly. As for the inflatable water park, we pre-ordered a wetsuit for my nephew, but the staff said the water was warm enough, so he went in with just his swim shorts. Unfortunately, we werenβt offered a refund for the unused wetsuit, so that felt like a bit of a waste (but that was more our fault). The life vest he wore rubbed on his chest and made it sore, so Iβd recommend wearing a rash vest or swim shirt underneath. He also wore water shoes, but they werenβt really needed. My nephew is 12Β½ and had a fantastic time on the inflatables β definitely the highlight! However, the male lifeguard doing the safety talk lacked any enthusiasm and delivered the rules in a dull, disinterested tone, which didnβt set a great tone to start with. At the end he gave the ten minute warning and immediately told them to head to the exit. Some girls were by the exit and missed out on ten minutes of fun. All in all, Lagoona Park has a lovely setting and a good atmosphere. Thereβs definitely fun to be had, especially for older kids, but there are a few areas where improvements would make the experience smoother and more accessible for everyone.β

Overview
Lagoona Park sits on a lake outside Reading and centres on an inflatable aqua park with slides, ramps, and water trampolines. Paddleboarding and pedalos run alongside. The lake uses blue dye to manage weeds and visibility. Multiple dining options span a lakeside Snack Shack and an upstairs Bar and Grill. Birthday party packages are available. All participants must be confident swimmers able to cover 25 metres β this is a firm entry requirement, not a guideline.
